Hmmm, not surprised there has been an improved offer... Having a look around one post on the Hartlepool United forum here, says Cook turned down a contract at Barrow and is off to another club either them or another. People on internet forums are always right...chipmunx wrote:http://www.nwemail.co.uk/sport/barrow-a ... adf4cd-ds?
The other team interested appears to be Carlisle, Curle said last week he was keeping his eye on Cook.

Re: Andy Cook
Seems like we will know one way or the other very soon- if he goes I'm sure Cox will have someone else in mind - from what I've read seems we have made a very good offer
Re: Andy Cook
Hope we offer Cook a good, fair deal for both him and the club but we don't want to blow all our budget beans on one man. If he prices himself out of a new contract he might end up worse off as there's no indication clubs are tearing down the Crossbar door to get their hands on him.
If we do lose him there are plenty of strikers out there who could do a job. With that said I would much rather he was playing for us than against us.

Re: Andy Cook
No one would begrudge him a pop at league football if the right offer came in. He may have a stinker next year and never get the chance again unless we manage to go up. Believe Grant Holt is a free agent now

Re: Andy Cook
Paul Cox speaking on Radio Cumbria tonight stated that he had met Andy Cook's agent for the first time.
He has had interest from other clubs in the same league as Barrow, but he wants to play in the football league.
If he leaves Barrow it will be for a league club.
The door is not closed yet, but Barrow's chance of keeping the lad are looking slim.

James Phillips on the football programme tonight on Radio Cumbria told Paul Cox that Grant Holt (who was co presenting the show) had been released by Rochdale.Big E wrote:No one would begrudge him a pop at league football if the right offer came in. Cox did not give much comment to that fact.

Realism 'in the arts'? I think the definition your looking for is;
1.
the attitude or practice of accepting a situation as it is and being prepared to deal with it accordingly.
"the summit was marked by a new mood of realism"
Or perhaps;
2.
the quality or fact of representing a person or thing in a way that is accurate and true to life.
Either way, if your going to be a smart arse do try to get it right please

How do you know I'm not an Artiste?
Football is clearly an art, any artiste would know this.
Either way, if your going to be a smart arse do try and spell Bluebird correctly please.
