Sums it up. Well done Barrowpjdaly wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2017 6:14 pm Our club might often seem a bit crazy with the things that go on but today is always a new day and this day (presumably the last match in front of the sacred old floodlights) was one to remember. I could say all fight, guts and discipline with 10 men in the second half but it was more than that; we were playing some good stuff up to 2-0. Impressive and promising. The keeper dropped a clanger to immediately let them back in at 2-1 but I'll definitely give him the benefit as only moments earlier he suffered what looked like an horrific fall on his head . . . plus he made a stupendous save from the last effort of the match. Barthram likes to get forward doesn't he? What's our right back doing turning up on the left wing and sticking the chance away like an accomplished striker? Well deserved prolonged ovation at the end. The spirit of the side was great to see. Those old floodlights are gonna miss seeing performances like this so I would personally dedicate this one to them as they bid us farewell after 54 years of great service.

A cracking display by all fourteen players out on the pitch. A performance that had started with flair and enterprise, and ended up with good old blood and guts seeing us through.
The referee who had a mare allowed them to play the man not the ball, and back in on endless occasions. He did get the decision right with ARH though a definite red, but keep up the good work Alex.
Stuart Moore took most of his body weight on his neck whilst coming out bravely to clear. He looked shaken and did well to continue. Just hope he hasn't done any lasting damage.
Asa Hall had his best game for us to date. The back five were superb as was Bedsente. Adi and Byron when they get up to speed will be a phenomenal partnership.
Plenty of energy and good vibes coming from the management on the touchline too.

Re: Barrow v Borehamwood match thread
He still can find a great pass when waddling out of defence 7 be very physical but that's it, I put a forward on steaming into him as he tires to play it out of defense to make him hurry, He hates to hurry & just run & turn him & we will get him booked at a minimum & win lots of free kicks etc.
He is getting found out big style this season hence all the bookings & Red.
Their strength is now their Achilles, Put Burnzio on him, whatever happened to him?

I said pre season Gomis was going to be our star player. I'm right so far. My only worry is because of the way he plays, his energy, commitment and he does"nt know when a ball is lost, he will pick up a few bookings. But I love watching him. He would tackle a cloud if told to !
