Imagine if anyone had said we would be where we are o the budget and the size of the squad we have.
It's a blip.
Was quite annoyed when R5 just mentioned us in passing rather than talking about how well we have done but then we are not one of the PLCs like Liverpool or Man Utd

Just got a mention on the national sports news on BBC1. Mentioned the unbeaten run prior to last night and the coach breaking down. Said Barrow are a proper club.

Saw that having my brekky. Got home 0630.

Really 8 points, as we have far superior Goal difference to anyone else. 2nd and 3rd teams Harrogate +10 and Halifax +4 to Barrow +29.

I was going to work and passed a coach on Abbey Rd at about 6:50....was that the supporters coach? A monumental effort, well done to you all. I did it twenty years ago in the FAT and it was a nightmare.

Disappointing result in the end, but it was always going to be a bit deflating when we eventually lost our unbeaten run. Comments off those that were there pretty much mirrored how it sounded on the radio, we just seemed “not on it” last night.
As much as I don’t like thinking this way, but perhaps time to rest a few players on Saturday.

It was said in my post match interview last night that changes would be made for the Trophy game as some players are in need of a rest

Problem being that we haven't got much of a 'fringe' and some players who need a rest are going to have to play. We really do need a couple of fresh bodies,maybe a utility defender and a striker.Comes to something when we are forced to play a midfielder only recently back from injury in the centre of defence.

We managed to rest nearly all players in the Atherton games. Id imagine a similar team for Saturday with a couple of reserves travelling? As for the squad, i have no doubt the current set of players will win us the league title.

Are Josh granite and Dyson injured ?

Dyson came on last night.

You're correct. Next to no impact has been made by any of the players brought on as subs with the exception of Dyson in the games I've seen. I did think Taylor would be a very good central defence replacement but he had a bit of a nightmare match last night and wasn't even anywhere near his normal level in midfield against Boreham Wood so it seems to be taking him a while to get back to his best. We're still 7 points ahead but need better performances than last night and at Solihull (where a poor Maidenhead side won 2-0 only a few days after we couldn't beat them) otherwise we'll very soon be back in a group of 4 or 5.
