“Mid table would be excellent” This is what Ian Evatt was talking about when he said the mentality of the club. If he had not have left he would of scoffed and said no we are going for L1.
We are more than capable of doing it without him as well. Standards and expectations seem lower now he’s gone. That’s a shame.

There's a difference between aiming for better and expecting better though. We can't get on the new guys back if he doesn't achieve a very high standard above a reasonable target.

Yep, their are countless examples of so called “small” clubs who have gone through the leagues, one or two have gone up to champ level.
Rising through the leagues will increase revenue causing more fans coming through the turnstiles and building a fan base for the future.
That will allow us to improve infrastructure much more quickly.
Or let’s survive relegation year on year and hope we fluke the play offs one time. The problem with that is we could equally get relegated and be back where we started.
The high of promotion has gone for me and sadly I fear for the future just a little bit more.

Been promoted new manager board making massive strides club well run. Club and trust working together.. Ground developments.. Good squad of players... If you are fearing for the future at this point you really need to give up.. We have never been in a better position

Didn't Carlisle once top the former First Division for a week or two early in the 1974-75 season?

Perhaps my brand of ambition isn’t suited to all situations, personally I done quite well career wise since I left Barrow in 2009 with zero formal education and £500 loaned from my dad to now working alongside and ahead of, graduates.
I do tend to get ahead of myself.
I’ve watched league 2 football a good amount and it’s not that scary, some of the teams in the bottom 6 or 7 would struggle to get in NL play offs places. We don’t want to go by those low standards, we are better than that.
