Oh, Terrell Thomas. I kept hearing that as '

There seems to be a lot of "we're rubbish sack everyone" when we play badly and then when we play well (as we did last night) or even win "doesn't count because xyz".
Does everyone honestly, hand on heart, believe that after being promoted, we should be storming the league and brushing aside everyone before us?
Was everyone shouting the same things in the early part of Ian Evatts the tenure? There's ambitious and there's utterly deluded.
Now, I'm not a David Dunn fan boy. I still have some reservations as to his management credentials. Some things I'm a bit concerned by. Sticking with a line up/system that clearly wasnt working at the moment , some substitutions I question etc. The defence has been the biggest area I've been vocal about.
However, there have been some very good performances, undone by individual or group errors. Some by players that where not signed by David Dunn. That can't be solely pinned on the manger.
You could argue his signings haven't been great, but, again, some have played very well. Some we haven't seen much of for whatever reason.
Yes the jury is out yet, for me, but I don't like this sack the manager call at every bump in the road. If things are dire at Xmas, well it may be time to re evaluate, but even a new manager will have the same set of players, the same (or reduced) transfer budget and the same expectations placed on them.
It's no good saying we "should've" hired x or y or z. It's done. All we can do is back them, like we did when everything was rosy last season, and trust in the board to make the right call as they usually do.
We're in league 2. We're the new boys after 48 years away. I find it a bit over the top, even arrogant, to say we "should" be a mid table team. Yes, we have potential but we are where we are and our biggest target this season is and always was, to consolidate league status. Ambition is a different beast and it's more than ok to aim high, but with a realistic target. And no, I'm not saying I'll settle for scraping by and just avoiding relegation, but in the same breath, it's a success if we stay up.
Whether it's David Dunn or whoever else, get behind them, ask questions, voice opinions (informed, logical ones), criticise constructively when required, but always get behind the club and support them.

Barr Marra i don't think it's unreasonable to look for us to be midtable this season especially after any new player was signed stated that they came here because of our boards ambitions I don't think they or the board would accept staying up is a success to me after waiting 48 years it would be a huge let down (obviously don't want relegation)
I for one never expected promotion or anything else.
As for asking questions I put one via email for David Dunns q&a but this was not included!(probably didn't like criticism)!
people are questioning quite rightly recruitment tactics and his lack of experience at this level.
Regarding paying the manager off (I genuinely hope he pulls it around) we got £200,000 for Evatt as this was a bonus I wouldn't be surprised if Paul Hornby hadn't set this aside just in case after all he's an accountant and seems pretty switched on as are the rest of the board anyway that's my ten penneth!

He has proved the team can play football just needs to convince them to turn it on every week, what were we expecting promotion again, to stay in this league is our aim and I think we are capable of that just lacking a dominate figure in the team.

£200,000 set aside? Please tell me you're joking. We've got a much bigger squad than last year, 0 fans in the ground on matchdays, a huge outlay on the stadium. If anything we will complete this season with a bigger deficit than last season!

Are you Perth in disguise?
Maybe he has the £75K we got for Rooney set aside too
Get real. Loads of clubs in the EFL struggling....including us

don't patronise me ,Paul Hornby said that although it wasn't good we'd be ok ,I can do the maths just like you ,so are you saying if push came to shuv we'd take relegation? now that would be a joke

Just to point out, I'm not saying a relegation dogfight, when I say consolidate. More realistically, lower half of the table with hopes we could be mid table. To say we "should" be mid table, in my opinion, is a bit strong as the new boys and seems to arrogantly disregard more established EFL clubs after being non league for so long. That's quite a claim. Clearly, we should aim as high as possible and have the potential but that's different to "should".
In other words, I expected to avoid the relegation scrap and finish in the lower half but with the hopes that we could get mid table or higher. Very different to accepting finishing just above the relegation places.
BUT, whatever happens, with whoever in charge, and with whatever style of play, we are better than finishing in the bottom 4. Realism with ambition.

There is no chance we’ve got £200k set aside for a rainy day! Think the likes of Baker Richardson (who we’ll also have had to pay for an op for) Jones etc came here to play for a bag of buttons?

Saw a huge rainbow finish over the Hornby household the other day so maybe there is a pot of cash there after all

Mind you never saw any bluebirds flying over it!🥲

We'd be ok does not equal having £200,000 in the back pocket... it means manageable losses
