Ellis has been good most of the season as you say but the goal was a result of his error and it was a bad one.

Think it's harsh to call that an Ellis error. It was a nice little touch by their player that just took it away from Ellis and allowed him to get clear. If there was an error anywhere in that goal it was Farman. Their player took a heavy touch and the ball was there for Farman to smother if he'd come out properly and dived at the attackers feet instead of the weird way he did come out.

Stop beating ourselves up, they are a very good we played, the best this season, first half we more then matched them, their first goal was decent, the second was a home goal and the last one was scored from a rebound off the post.

Personally think Ellis is one of the top centre backs in the league, he didn’t make an error for the goal, and Platt is a crock unfortunately, and over rated.

First half we looked organised and composed. Mark Cooper has moulded a side that many teams are finding it difficult to beat.
However; it's becoming blatently obvious that we lack:

1) Creativity
2) Decent Strikers

Ollie Banks - a midfielder - is our top scorer with 5 goals.
Our match plan this season seems to be based on hoofing it up the field into the box or swinging high crosses into the box. Zanzala looks lost at times.

We never signed a decent centre forward.
Zanzala has not got the pedigree 95 games 19 goals.
We are doing well but anyone think we will get promotion need to stop smoking weed.

Haven't been to many away grounds, so have only seen those shown on ifollow. Many are very impressive, mostly all-seated. Good for their supporters. Was wondering from those Bluebird fans who've travelled to lots of away grounds, which do they rate as top notch, best seating, facilities, catering, etc.

And how does Holker St rate or compare? Low on the totem pole me thinks in League 2, even with this seasons improvements. Are there other equally lowly grounds? Or is the Dunes Stadium actually better appointed than some?

Perhaps more importantly, which League 2 Club has the best atmosphere? Barrow actually ranks very highly, #6. Interestingly, FGR, high-flyers at the top of the league, rate 2nd last in this department.

I don't regard all seated as impressive. In fact the main reason I didn't go yesterday was because it's all seated, even though it's closer to where I live than Barrow. I would rather use the money for a trip to a proper football ground, i.e. Holker Street.

You could have a really impressive ground with great facilities but Holker St being a small ground with fans close to the pitch and it can generate a great atmosphere. Grounds that are too big with too many empty seats takes all that away. The worst grounds are those with stands that are separated at the corners with big spaces in between.

Football is a game where people have different opinions.
I didn't see the game so don't have an opinion on whether Ellis made a mistake or not.
However, I certainly don't think Ellis is anywhere near being one of the top centre backs in the league.
He's good in the air for a guy who isn't a giant but is slow on the turn and poor in one on one situations against any player with speed or trickery. Give him a big lump to mark and he's decent but otherwise he's not great.
Nowhere near the level of either a fit Platt or Davies who we had on loan IMO and is now helping Tranmere to a position near the top of the league and have conceded only 4 goals against out 15 over 12 matches.

I agree…….but both Platt and Davies are injury prone. No idea if we tried to get Davies back but I can see why we wouldn’t have if we didn’t. Our treatment room is full enough as it is

We do seem to have recruited more than our fair share of injury prone players over the last few seasons, these alone must be costing the club a small fortune.
