Has anyone been watching the Buxton v Morecambe match.Buxton have a striker called Diego de Girolamo who looks quite impressive and very nearly scored for Buxton in the opening minutes of the game.He took his shot on instinct without hesitation and could be the sort of player Barrow could need. Has anyone got any thoughts on him?

26 years old, 28 goals in 48 apps at Buxton, former Italy under 18/19/20 player.

I’d give him a go for sure.

I watched him play for Buxton against Atherton Coll’s recently, he can definitely play at a higher standard & has been scoring for fun in the NPL but L2 is a big step up.

He was quality for Harrogate last year, but if it’s true Salford and Tranmere are also in the running we’ve no chance

Wrexham fan on the NL forum suggests Brough is a target for them in January. Supposedly come from a podcast that a reporter or two that cover Wrexham are part of. Haven't seen it anywhere else.

Mentioned several times on a 40 page thread on Red Passion including one fan who says he would be an 'awesome' signing - high praise given some of the ridiculous suggestions on there.Perhaps we should offer a straight swap for Mullin. General consensus seems to be that Dior Angus (currently Covid isolating) will be out of the door in January having slipped down the pecking order behind the big money buys.Wonder if he was the target mentioned as 'well-known' to us a few weeks ago.

There must be plenty of clubs interested in Brough, he would be a good signing for clubs higher up then Wrexham. I imagine people will be eying Gotts too. I can’t imagine we would let either go unless offer was enormous or player does a Rooney and claims family etc.

Ipswich striker James Norwood, 31, has reportedly been transfer-listed as his contract is up in Summer 2022, January window would be perfect to make a move. Proven goal scorer at efl2, 48 goals in 161 apps @ Forest Green, and more recently 82 in 165 @ Tranmere. Even at Ipswich with 20 in 56. Would be a great addition with goals and experience, this is the calibre of player MC should be looking at imo.

He didn’t look up to much did he?

Probably because we nullified any threat, but it would be interesting to see him in the box for some of our balls in to the box, which by the way were delightful from Stevens tonight.
