The absolutely delusional comments about Sam Hird being a good manager are frankly worrying. Yes, he knows the club, but just because he has been close to Evatt and Kelly doesn’t mean he has gleaned some of their quality by osmosis or whatever other wonderful means may be possible. I’m sorry but one season at Bolton u/23’s for a fledgling coach is not the standard of manager we should be settling for. No other EFL side would take a 1-year experienced coach regardless of being an ex-player or not. Not for me Clive.

The article in the Bolton paper suggested that Hird might need another year. May be right.

Williamson sounds a better bet. Hartlepool are also interested in him.

I've come to view Grayson the way I did Cooper (and Brown come to think of it). Lots of experience and a reputation built mainly on his experience at Preston and Leeds. But that was some time ago. He's bounced around a bit since but really didn't set the world alight at Fleetwood at all.

A lot of people will still see him as a decent name. But he would be more of the same for me as a Barrow manager. His appointment clears the way as far as I'm concerned.

Garrard didn’t want it we move on. If they are speaking to the lad at Halifax,it’s going to be kept under wraps, why would Halifax want their players thinking the managers leaving , whilst in the play offs.
