Think we should be even more worried now. Carlisle were never going to turn it around under Williamson it was one step forward and four back. Surprised it took them until now they really backed him.

Unless there’s a miracle I can’t see us scoring anywhere near enough goals to get the wins to get us to safety and the bottom two will put a run together at some point. When we were dross four years ago we at least had Scott Quigley to save us with his goals and presence. None of the current forwards are anywhere near his level. Even Josh Gordon was a warrior and popped up with a few. We’re as poor as anyone and it’s a big ask for Whing.

We could still be playing at Newport now and not have scored.

Spot on. I'm just hoping that the points advantage we have over Morecambe and Carlisle is enough for us to scrape survival but I can't say I have too much confidence. I backed us to be relegated at both 66/1 and 100/1 some time ago when I thought the odds were ridiculously high for a team which struggled to score any goals. I thought that if I had a bet on relegation it might tip the odds in our favour!

I think I said a while ago that when Ian Evatt was rumored to losing his job at Bolton he would be a perfect fit for Carlisle.I said at the time I hoped it wouldn,t happen.Would he prepared to step down so low and maybe ruin his reputation,that remains to be seen.Personally I think he will want to stay as a Division 1 manager at least.Having said that it also depends on how much Carlisle are prepared to.offer him.If they were to escape relegation under him it would be the greatest escape act since Houdini and massively enhance his reputation.Would he be prepared to risk everything he has achieved?

Evatts been on the go for over 6 years so perhaps he wants a break. Also Derby County's manager is under big pressure having lost there last 6 games. Evatts a Derby boy having started his career there. I wouldn't be surprised if the lure of Derby if/when the vacancy arrives would be more attractive to him both geographically and given they are higher up the pyramid than Carlisle.

The negativity is astounding. I was depressed on Saturday and thought we would probably go down not because we have bad players as we don't it's about the mentality the we are only little Barrow mentality which cost us last year

Carlisle are only just slightly odds on to be relegated. The great escape stuff is a myth
