True Barrow supporters don't want them to loose - but wind up merchants do who come on here. Thanks for all the other positive points you made though.

Fate kicks us in the teeth again we should have won today same as when we played Barnsley some of our tackles showed them they were in a game and when it was 2-1 we had chances but did not fall for us, our support was fantastic and we keep going.

All I can say after today, it’s a shame for one we can’t have that sort of passion from the supporters week in week out at home …. And would be good for the team to kick off at minute 1, not 45 …. For once

It came from the team in the second half . A couple of robust, fully committed tackles got the crowd up. That's all it needs , a spark.,some passion and desire.
Give us that and the crowd will get behind the team.
Even though we lost ..the fight was there. Let's have more of it.

Well that and most of the away end was steaming
Play like we did in the second half most weeks, cut out conceding the soft goals and we’ll be grand imho

More than grand.Tuesday crucial game now. We must start well.
First half dire
Second gave it a great go.
Gordon ran himself into the ground. Grest pest. Needs help though
Earing good second half
Williams got away with a dire challenge
Naz great tackle, great goal
Everyone in that part of Lancashire must be deaf. Chorley FC fanzone. Great chips, lovely people, DJ playing unbearable singalong pish at high decibel
Nothing prepared us for the nuclear assault of Wigan's speakers unleashing on us.
A brief moment of sanity then the worst drummer ever.
Support was great when we were.
Feel more positive after that, on we go.

First half was an AW special.
Don't lose.
Second half a goal down means have to try harder.
Nearly pinched it.
The plan has to be " second half" all the time, forget the "little Barrow" AW puts around the players necks.

Think one of our problems is so obvious we haven't got 2 decent wingbacks/ fullbacks most of our goals conceded come from either weak tackling or cutting out crosses!
Our play is based on these positions, if we don't address this in January then we're in trouble!
I criticise the Manager because I care about our club, I always try to be fair in my assessment of what's happening, I'm still not convinced on how we set up ,but I really hope I'm wrong but come on there's not one person on here who can honestly say what sort of Barrow will turn up when they go and watch them and there's your problem if that isn't down to Whing and Co then who's responsible people have even blamed the crowd/ atmosphere which really is embarrassing!

Listening in the wireless, first half was a bit frustrating but for the first time in a long time, the second half actually gave me a real football buzz..
The outcome wasn't ideal but the effort and excitement was!
Just hope we are not leggy for Tuesday but if we take what we did yesterday into the game, then hopefully we can start building the points!

Didn't go so can only go off comments on here and the way the game unfolded….
The big frustration for fans appears to be the first half performance when once again we've come out cagey…. So what is it then?

Jonty even you must know the Answer to that !, I'm not even going to point it out as everyone else does week in week out!

Regarding Tuesday and Tranmere a continuation of this persistent rain and the game being postponed until a later date wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen for us

I can only recall 2 penalty shoot out wins in my 40 years of supporting the Bluebirds - Harrogate in the Unibond Presidents cup and Derby more recently in the league cup.
I have only seen two as well, but two different ones to yours -
- 1988 NPL Cup Final v Goole at Maine Road - lost shoot-out after 2-2 draw
- 2001 FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round Replay at Rossendale - won shoot-out after 3-3 draw.
Can anyone remember any others?

Difficult one that... I get what you mean and get the lads a rest BUT sometimes, it's better to keep the momentum.
