Thoughts are I’m beginning to think we might have one of the best midfields in the division.

Still a forward short, presuming Bennett is not wanted.

Agree still a forward short,love to see a forward with good movement who has genuine pace and offers a threat in behind,haven’t had anyone with genuine pace since Dior Angus

More than promising Mike. Campbell is very decent quality. So good in fact that I’m having trouble believing it though I was fully aware of our interest.

If it comes off then in Pedros terminology it would one of our best panic buys potentially for some time. Let’s hope it happens.

No wind up. However the press release was clearly premature. He’ll sign a contract with someone in July. Informed opinion seems to think it’s with us. The information has come from two different sources FWIW.

Problem is of course that Campbell is still theoreticaLly in play for the next week. So whaT might be likely to happen today might not happen tomorrow..

would be a very good signing. Hence why I’m tempted to believe hat nothing is ever that simple.

Re a left back. I play bowls with a group of mostly local ex-footballers once a week, one who happens to be the owner of Havant&Waterlooville where Junior Tiensia was on loan around 3 years ago. I asked him his opinion and he was pretty positive. Says he is a quick and tough little guy.

Panic buying Remember the days no-one was signed until A N Other and S O Else had strutted their stuff in the PSF's or even earlier in the Probables v Possibles game. As for what we still need. Lillis is more experienced than Farman and a capable stand in. Last season proved that an additional keeper might just be a waste of a squad place.Think we need another defender capable of filling in anywhere - Zuk perhaps? If Benni also returns pre-season think we are well served up front with great potential of service from midfield. Bring it on !
