Looking at the Beeb's website, it says we're getting temperatures of up to 6 degrees during the early hours of Saturday morning, which will help.

We will certainly need it.
I live very close to the ground and the temperature right now is zero.
If the pop side has not been covered then we are in trouble as nothing in the shade has been thawing.
I know the kick off is at 3-00 tomorrow, but we all know how inept our club is being run at the moment and how the BBC get things wrong especially around the Furness area.

Was 3 degrees when I was in the car to work this morning. I live within [SwearFilter] distance of the ground, and in those two hours with the sun out surely it'll have warmed up rather than cooled down.

We could do with an official statement from the club regarding how the pitch is looking and whether the covers are on....

What sun?
It has barely been out and been lukewarm at best.
Everything in my garden is still white with frost.

Agree
However I feel the more likely scenario is, someone at the club reads the forum and goes, "shit we better get the covers on, does anyone know where they are?"

The bit of my garden which is out of the sun all day and seemed frozen solid at 10.00am is now taking a fork with no problem. Mild over night forecast. Should be game on.

Radio Cumbria just tweeted no concerns with pitch and game should be on

Sounds more likely to get postponed to me if it was still frozen at 1:00pm today.
Hope I'm wrong though.

Would be disappointing, but i would not be too sorry to have a Tuesday night game under floodlights as they do have a rather special atmosphere (and possibly a bigger gate)!
