Cheap Season Tickets the way to draw the fans in

I've noticed over the last few years some clubs have introduced very low season ticket prices. I think Hartlepool once charged one hundred pounds. Eastleigh are running a similar scheme this year.

The idea is to try to fill the stadium and make money by selling more food, programmes, shirts, etc, than you normally would.

How do you think such a scheme would go down with the Barrow public ?

Season ticket availability will be advised shortly. Prices are frozen at last years prices.

GRANDSTAND: Adults £260, Concessions £205
TERRACES: Adults £240, Concessions £190

In addition we have introduced the following -

Under 11s season ticket - £15 all areas
Assisted person season ticket - (same price as concessions, but allows a carer to attend free)

Early Bird offer will be that any season tickets purchased by 30th June gets a £10 reduction on the prices (Under 11s ticket excluded).

Tickets should be available very soon.

Pete

It's been mentioned before but I think It would be great if we could offer a season ticket for all under 16s at a decent rate too. I know that quite a few of my lads mates feel they are priced out of attending on a regular basis. Also would it be worth while offering a discount shop voucher as added incentive for those taking out a season ticket before a cut off date.

In these days of austerity would it not be possible to offer season tickets through a low-cost loan from the local Credit Union. I know for certain that Chester and Wrexham do this to great uptake.

If they're priced out of paying £5 a week, are they really going to be able to afford a season ticket at £100? (Assuming that the season ticket is roughly 20x the individual match rate, as per the other season tickets)

We probably should offer an 11-17 season ticket, as we do with adult and concession tickets, but I don't see how it would help much: teenagers can usually beg a fiver off mum for football, or leftover from a paper round or whatever, but wouldn't usually have £100 in one go.

Need to have an under 16's season ticket where it's worth paying in one go. Last season if you missed one or two games you may aswell have paid £5 each game. :scarf:

If you miss more than a couple of games, you shouldn't be buying a season ticket. Half of the entire point is to give a discount for those who go to every game.
