We welcome a Liverpool FC Foundation XI along to Holker Street next Wednesday (29th October), 12.30pm kick off.

The squad brought up by Liverpool will be representing the club at next years Dallas Cup in Texas, USA. In last season's competition the LFC team reached the final, only to be beaten by Selecion from Costa Rica. The game will be an excellent opportunity for our U18 players to test themselves against prestigious opposition.

Entry to the game will be £2 for over 16's and free for anyone under 16. We have been told that the bar and a catering van will be open for the game.
With the game being in the middle of the school holiday's we hope to generate a lot of interest from people who want an early chance at seeing players who may one day grace the football or premier leagues.

Really gutted about the kick off time, right in the middle of the working day. Oh well, would have been nice to see this game.

Jeez sounds like a tough test for the youngsters. How will they handle Ballitello? And Stephen Gerald?

The U18's are at home on sunday 2.30 kick off.

But for some reason this is AGAIN being a well kept secret, why is that?
Plenty of promotion of this Liverpool game and plenty of mentions of the floodlit league, but hardly any mentions of the sunday games, its not even got a mention on their Twitter page.!!!!!!!!!!!

A busy week so far at the centre has seen the U18s draw 3-3 (Doherty, MacDonald, Lamb) with Avro before going out 3-2 on penalties in the NWYA Open Cup on Sunday.
Yesterday saw the U11s travel to the Giant Axe to take on Lancaster City, with an entertaining game ending 5-4 to the home team, goals for Barrow came from Murrell, Dixon, Wood and an own goal.
Today saw the U13s welcome Guiseley to Furness College. The away side took an early 2 goal lead before goals from Green (2), Litherland (2), Luxon (2), Helliwell and Whitehall sealed an 8-2 win in awful conditions.

Tomorrow sees the U18s welcome Liverpool FC Foundation to Holker St (12.30pm), with the bar open for the game. £2 entry for 16+, free for U16s.

While the U11s and U15s are on their travels tomorrow; U11s heading to the Globe to take on Morecambe (6.30pm) and the U15s going to the Giant Axe to play Lancaster City (6.30pm).

Hopefully the weather holds out and we get some good support for the U18s fixture, and if any of our supporters are in the Lancaster and Morecambe areas, why not pop along to support our younger sides too.

Lost 2-1. Entertaining game.

We didn't deserve to lose and finished the stronger of the sides. The difference being the Liverpool lads were sharper in front of goal.
Just a shame there weren't many there. A lovely day and the refreshment van open and the Xbar but I don't know if it was worth their while. Poor promoting didn't help as I spoke to quite few people who didn't know anything about it. Free admittance for young people and half term can't get better than that.

Anyway well played lads.

Maybe the ref today has started a new ruling, the sin bin (Der Cooler) used for the first time that I can recall on a footy field!
Our Boys were the better side in the second half, an enjoyable day off!
