Im not trying to grass people in or anything like that here, im speaking purely as a fan.

I have been out in Ulverston with friends for a couple of drinks tonight and was shocked to see Darren and Alex out in town.. Drunk!

Given the point of the season we are at and I appreciate that they are not playing but still think this is not acceptable from a Manager and Assistant who are fighting for a title... The night before a game.

Define....Drunk....Are they staggering around bumping into people & falling over while talking incoherent mumbo-jumbo, Or were they in high jinks letting off a little bit of steam??, By that I mean having a laugh etc nothing more, The former would be a problem while the latter would be totally acceptable every now and again IMHO

Shouting and balling in the street, dont get me wrong they are not absolutely blotto'd but theyve clearly had a fair amount to drink. And i totally agree that they are allowed to let off steam but the night before a big game? They wouldnt let the players do it...

But the players arnt doing it are they, so that's not a problem, what were they shouting bawling down the street, really horrible drunken Shite or just a couple of young-ish lads having a once in a blue moon night out.... They probably start work around lunchtime tomorrow & as they are NOT blotto'ed I really don't see an issue here, As it sounds like they are not causing any grief to anyone etc, They are normal human beings you know in a very small public spot light not buddist-monks etc, None story mate when you think about it or is drink clouding your judgement?? COYB

The guy's have retired from football as players and should not be under any pre match imposed curfew by the club and as long as they don't show the club in a bad light! They should be allowed to have a social drink if they choose, this might be the first time both manager and assistant have socially had time to discuss team matters and check none of their players have strayed off the beaten track pre match !!

Im driving so not drinking. Im not going to repeat what was said exactly but they were chanting and shouting.

I just find it inappropiate given that they dont expect players to do it... As i say I just wondered what other peoples views were on it?

Hope they were chanting something about [SwearFilter] this tinpot league Jameson as Mark has said mate, they are not players and don't have to be 100% physically fit for tomorrow & as long as they are being reasonably well behaved then what's the problem?? If this was happening on a semi regular basis then questions would need asking but I'm guessing that as you have never seen then out before it kinda shocked you a bit, if that's the case the it shows how rarely they go out in this manor which is a good thing right?

Completely appreciate what your saying mick, (no they werent chanting that - although edmo thinks that we will win 3-0 tomorrow) and i totally agree they are not players. Which is why I was asking on peoples views.

My view still remains that i dont think its on and dont understand why they couldnt have waited until the night after a game. Just wound me up a little bit given the point in the season we are at

I hear what you are saying Jameston & kinda agree to a certain extent that it would 100% be better after the game but as family men it's probably easier on their families to go out the night before once every blue moon & they might get grief or mobbed a bit by fans on match day night & could be problematic as the fans could have been out all day and mother them with good intentions if you follow my drift.

Yeah agreed i guess. Maybe this thread should be deleted if anyone can do this? Dont want people getting in trouble un-necessarily

Yeah !! How dare they go out for a good time , I expect Edmo and Meeks to be locked in Holker Street watching 12 hour videos of BPAs latest games whilst keeping an eye on the toilets so we don't end up losing use of them again the night before a match

No problem with it unless Meeks went near the karaoke...if he did then sack them both.

Those two probably chose Ulverston thinking there wouldn't anyone watching out for them.

The pressures on football managers at any level are enormous so what is wrong with letting off a bit of steam.
I personally wouldn't have posted on a forum which the owner peruses to highlight a night out by two people in their own time. It isn't as if we are fighting relegation for heavens sake.

I bet you were a snitch at school as well.

P.S I might sit behind them today with the rattle.

What a grass i see no issues with this its a good way of relaxing before another big game.
