Barrow AFC.net

HI, firstly thanks to everybody who replied to our questions about the planned event this week. As we said we went away and thought about your comments, blushed a bit for asking so late, and then made some changes.......

1. The event is going ahead because we think it's important to start our partnership with a BANG It's still 31 July 7pm until LATE

2. There will be live entertainment from Becki Fishwick (who sang for us at Ulverston Carnival and was great) and there will be a disco

3. It is now a buffet dinner and the total cost per person has been reduced to £12 .

We would love to see as many fans there as possible (if nothing else you can laugh at our last minute panic!). This is the start of our year of partnership and it's really important to us to make this work. From your comments I think its important to lots of you too.

I'm going to be there and hope to see you.

It says on the poster tickets available from the fund raising office but where is that exactly please? If not in Barrow is there anywhere in Barrow where they can be bought?

We're selling tickets from the hospice in Ulverston and will arrange to have them from sale in the Hospice shop in Barrow too by the middle of next week.

Erm , yeah . Why? Am I not allowed to wish the event luck in being a success?

Val has acknowledged and responded to the fans comments and views and has taken appropriate action to bring the cost down to a more realistic price, so well done for that. We were listened to!!!
The hospice provide a fantastic service to the community and I expect they are learning as they go along on this type of fund raising venture.
I hope we all get behind them and support the evening as a buffet, disco and live entertainment is excellent value at £12.
I would even hope the Clarkson 5 would re-unite for the evening. It seems to be the done thing nowadays.
