The final official preseason game and hopefully a rough idea of what the starting line up against Dover will be!
Could someone give little updates on todays game and players for us in exile at the minute, as I'm sure it would be appreciated by quite a few others also! :scarf: :scarf:

Have to agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment.

Last two friendlies have been good workouts.Lacey should have scored but apart from that we have not troubled the keeper in the last two games. The final ball has not been good enough.Anyhow practice is now over, roll on Saturday for the visit of Dover and lets see what this team are made of. :scarf:

We scored twice in midweek when beating Burnley 2-0.
3 clean sheets on the trot is good.

we looked fairly solid but need someone up front with a bit of energy!

Sorry didn't count the Burnley game.I mean't Workington and today.Clean sheets are always good as you say and we do look pretty solid at the back albeit against lesser opposition.I am slightly concerned about the lack of firepower upfront.Hopefully the lads will prove me wrong.

Ashley grimes movement is superb, imo we are still lacking the creative midfilder to unlock teams with throughballs etc to play to his and Jason w strengths.. This team is built to be hard to break down and solid which is no bad thing but being dangerous going forward and scoring goals obviously wins games , the season proper Will reveal all ,happy days to be a bluebird. :scarf:

Great stuff! Do those that went yesterday think the now levelled pitch looked better to play on, with a truer bounce. It looks fabulous on Dave C photo thread and I know Gareth and Craig have put some hours in, hopefully it will prove more than worthwhile as the season progresses!

From the sidelines the pitch looked great.Surprising what a bit of sun and rain does from a few weeks ago.Great work from Gareth and Craig and this pitch would be the envy of a few league sides.

pitch looked great! cannot wait for season to get going, bit weird coming into the xbar, came in has usual for a quick pint with my mrs and son. one of the secrity asked them for a ticket? they dont go to the game but enjoy the banter in the bar...Question is do you now have to buy a ticket to have a drink? put my mrs off coming for a drink now so thats revenue lost no matter how little. :sentoff:
