No doubt we are entering a great era with the bluebirds - new owner , pitch looking great, a good squad that will challenge top half of conference , maybe playoffs ! ( the bookies favour us too be in the playoff shake up so I won't argue with a bookie!) New ground/ stands over the coming years. And then u have the bluebird fans , great people , and the gates this season are only going too go up, 2200 last home game is a cracking start ! It's a great time too be a bluebird fan ! One day, league football will arrive at Holker street , and I can't wait for that day! No real point too this thread just a happy Barrow fan

This was always going to be a season where avoiding relegation is the aim. Conference North last season was very, very poor and this league is much superior. Guiseley were hammered 4-0 at home today by Aldershot who have been struggling up to now. I reckon survival will be a good achievement. On the couple of times I managed to get to away games last season Livesey and Grand were the outstanding players in the team. I'm now reading on here that they are struggling. If those 2 are struggling then all the players from the Barrow team I saw will be struggling!

It's a good team once everybody's fit, but having 2 wingers out half a strike force out and 2 new cm in , not too mention we have had 3 faves for champions / playoff places been played . People say we were doing ok until Livesey got sent off v Forest Green . And could of got a 1pt today if he'd stayed on ! Well anyways we have Southport and Halifax up next - players back and a new winger 6pts is fair target but I'd settle for 4!

Got too say the bookies looked at our squad and said good chance of playoffs! 8-1 for promotion! Not now like

I'm afraid I was guilty of pre season optimism! This team is FAR from a top half team even at this early stage, survival is the key word already in my head! Poor so far.......
