Following recent suggestions by Trust members we are to hold a Q&A session with senior club officials, management & players. We've had a very positive response from the club and our first session will be held on Wednesday 11th November and will involve Paul Casson & Austin Straker.

Through the Trust website or PM's to this account we'll be inviting questions from Trust members, whether directly match related, behind the scenes or anything else within reason.

The Q&A's will then be placed on the Trust website shortly after the session.

To join the BST is easy - either go to our website or visit the Trust shop on matchdays. An annual subscription is £10 for adults (£2 for juniors) and with over 50 local and national companies offering discounts to our members on a wide range of products as well as savings on away travel, membership more than pays for itself in no time.

Would have preferred a Q&A in bar for everyone to attend. This why I can use my judgment to see if they genuinely mean what they are saying.

Can you ask them
1. where are the bigger shirts they said were arriving soon? (about 3 months ago)
2. Is there any plans for the club to start engaging with the local community more, when I say club I mean players. Not McAloone in his barrow van.
If people/kids know who these players are they might come and watch them. At the moment they are a load of lads who come to barrow every two weeks play (debatable) get in their cars and go home.

So who exactly will be attending this get together? Trust members or a chosen selection? Committee members?

Exactly Elaine since when did the trust become a "dictatorship"?,this meeting should be open to all trust members not some sanitised Q&A! or were you told it`s that or nothing really poor from both sides!

Wouldnt be a bad idea filling the cross bar with all trust members.

Everyone can ask questions and it would be a good way for the club and fans to connect.

Hopefully the club don't think that the Trust is representative of the fans as a whole...

Agreed it should be open to all and then everyone hears all questions and answers. That said, these types of events usually end up badly attended so probably a no win situation.

A post from van der Nipper (I think) just disappeared that said it was not a get-together but a list of questions to be e-mailed to PC and others. That's worthless as you can't judge the reaction.

The original post makes it sound like a meeting.

It was meant to be nothing more than an opportunity for a few questions to be put to various people at the club, firstly PC & Austin, simply because Paul Casson would be the hardest to get hold of and he happens to be here next week (unless just e-mailing him the questions) Then Edmo/Meeks followed by various players etc.

It was never meant to be a Jeremy Paxman type grilling.

As Lisa has rightly pointed out, sometimes the meet the board or manager events are poorly attended. If that is what people want, why not ask the club if one could be arranged just the same as the Trust asked for this.

The idea was to envisaged as a way of adding more readable content to the Trust website, have a semi regular interview with various people around the club (Managers, players, backroom staff, directors, Stewards, whoever else there are questions for) getting answers to questions people may have about all sorts of things relating to the club.

It was not and is not about a "dictorship" or "select few" being involved, just a couple of board and/or steering group members asking the questions provided by the members and scribbling furiously the answers for writing up and publishing on the website.

Pretty much the same thing as the press do when they interview these people.

Can you ask them when we are going to employ someone to run the shop?

I think Rich means the steering group of the trust a former member of this forum, not the ground steering group that was meant to be happening if thats what you mean.

Not really sure how anyone can see this proposed Q & A session in a bad light to be honest, the dictatorship comment doesn't make any sense at all.
