Good luck Ash. Still a good player at this level, and always gave 100pc. Just seemed to be a forgotten man since that bad injury.

Wrexham fans said his legs had gone when we signed him, so no surprise this didn't work out. Yes, his injury away at Wrexham lost him his place in the side, but he didn't look up to the task at hand anyway IMHO. I'm sure if you look back at the goals from the first half of the season, a lot stemmed from attacks down his wing as anyone with pace troubled him massively. That said, he had some solid games too, but nothing like what Edmo seemed to have been promising from him.

I'd be really worried if I was a Southport fan, with them signing ours and Wrexham's cast-offs.

Thought he looked decent before his injury but lack of pace meant he struggled against any pacy winger. Wish him all the best, can still do a job at this level.

Liked him.Commited and always gave 100% in the Barrow shirt. However, his lack of pace caught him out and he was responsible for one or two goals.
It soon became obvious under Paul Cox that Ashton was not part of his long term plans.I wish him all the best at Southport but for me Conference North might be his level now.

Not good enough and never was in his time here, before or after injury. Look foward to us running him ragged against Southport.

Neil is a top pro who always gave 100% even coming back from that horrendous injury at his former club Wrexham early to try and help our teams cause in our time of need and sadly to his own detriment. Yes I would agree those journeymen legs are becoming a little unreliable and true pace was always a problem but he is a guy who will always give his all to whoever he plays for. It's good luck and a huge thank you from me!

Summed it up perfectly there, Mark.

Would agree with all of that too. Can't argue with the effort he put into every game. Good luck

Well said above. There's been some surrendering to the ageing process and injury misfortune, but he remained vocal, industrious and impressively committed. Thank you Neil and good luck.

That injury at Wrexham pretty much finished his season at Barrow. Wish him well.
