I walked down to the Rail Station with a couple of their fans - they weren't too impressed with our style of play, suggesting that we only knew one type - the long ball punt to our strikers. To be honest, I have to agree...

Embarrasing

was in railway 9 til 1 before game did not hear rochdale gobbing off all nice and respectable. nice man telling me his first trip to barrow since early 70s. gent. only fellas giving it the large one were dumb and dumber the to police. still looked like they still had nappy rash coming in pub every hour craning there necks round the pub and looking at punters and giving it the big i am. pair of maggots.

no problem with them, only doing what we do.

Decent guys in The Duke, too, surprisingly apprehensive about the game and pleased to be in Barrow - somewhere new for some and renewing acquaintance for others.

Thought they supported well in the ground and were really appreciative of Brian Arrowsmith and the half-time penalty takers. I hope they enjoyed their trip and get the sort of fourth round tie we had dreamed about.

They were in The Railway singing songs - nothing offensive against Barrow.
Also saw a few in The Derby and The Duke. Had the craic with a couple of them whilst walking down Holker Street after the game.

Seemed like a decent bunch to me: of course, we didn't get the chance to see them in an uglier mood if they'd lost, but all the ones I ran into seemed pretty good natured - just enjoying a day out to a new ground.
