should Effiong/wright retain their places for sat, they both certainly turned the game when they came on last night. it would be good to see them start :scarf:

It's a difficult one that. They clearly worked as impact subs last night as Hannah was getting no joy against their defence, especially when we booted it out straight from the back.

But we've seen a Hannah come on and make a difference too, mainly by getting goals/penalties in the last 20 mins.

I would like to start with Effiong with the possibility of bringing on Bennett later. Maybe seeing someone else starting might gee him up a bit.

I would definitely have Wright in rather than Rowe though.

Harrison could be back among the subs if he's fit.

My mistake - thought it was one game. Unless Harrison is fit, then we should try Effiong up front from the start.

Guess it depends on the Eastleigh defence and whether Hannah would get any joy this time.

Think Wright should always start ahead of both Hughes and Rowe who are both too slow and don't get up and down enough.
ARH can't do it on his own. Effiong, who I think has only signed until the end of the season needs more game time to show
he should be given a contract for next season. I think he will turn out to be a good signing.

I only see a few games so have to go mainly by Radio Cumbria commentary. However, from what I hear, Tuton and Hannah can find space and need ball played to feet (or possibly ball over the top to run on to) and the only player capable of defence-splitting passes is said to be Turnbull - but he is playing in front of the back four and doing a decent job there. So that suggests to me that we need a strong front man (can only be Effiong this week) with someone running off him.

The only other query seems to be whether it is Wright or Rowe in midfield. Wright can be good, but has been known to be anonymous (I think I saw him thus at Gateshead, but may be wrong).

I think I would go with Rowe, Harvey, Turnbull and Walker in midfield, Effiong and Hannah up front, with Wright and Tuton as impact subs.

I agree that Wright has been anonymous sometimes, but then Rowe hasn't done anything special for me either.

I liked us a lot better with the 3 centre mids so I'd keep the 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation. Goalkeeper and defence picks itself (Livesey back in if fit) Turnbull, Ray Harvey and Wright worked well as well a combination last night. Hannah upfront with Williams and Tuton supporting him

Have a feeling at this stage Effiong might be better coming on for the last half an hour against tiring defenders, not sure he'd have been as effective from the start last night. Jack Thomas looked a good prospect when I saw him but doesn't seem to feature these days?

Is Harry Panayiotou still at the club?
If he is - he must have some patience! :D

Coxxy will never get the best out of Jack Thomas unless he gives him game time and by all accounts, this hoofing it from defence to attack, (1 player), is never gonna work...need some midfield skills in there and educate them to stop hoofing and hoping...some of these guys are quite skilled at ball play, but you,ll never see it at this rate..
