Cassons probably telling him how to scout players and to change his style of scouting - or may be appointing a new head of scouting operations without asking him first

His job would have been a stumbling block for any applicants for the managers job. Maybe the club wanted to downgrade his job or something. Does seem strange and rather worrying.

Worrying like all recent events. But I couldn't see any viable managerial candidates, worth their salt, being told they HAVE to work with Ogden or coach players that he scouts. Perhaps this is a sign they are pushing in the direction of having someone new lined up as manager. But I don't pretend this is a positive scenario at all. Who can second guess what's going on?
