Time to actually state what the hell is going on at the club?
Fed up of the politician how about admitting the truth we are now cutting costs all over the club instead of this nonsense about promotion.
Moore is not the answer but either appoint him full time or sign a new manager up ASAP we need more players in the squad preferably some wingers.
Club is going backwards massively and its the first time I actually feel [SwearFilter] off about it all.

Re: Casson
All he needs to do is come out be honest and say he didn't realise the costs involved so the budget needs to be scaled back etc
Re: Casson
One lie turning into another. Even the people at the club don't know what's going on/what to do.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:39 pm All he needs to do is come out be honest and say he didn't realise the costs involved so the budget needs to be scaled back etc
You'll never get an honest answer off Casson ever!

Re: Casson
I don't think it's going down the pan, we are in the best position potentially in my lifetime, but if things aren't as easy as the owner though then he should tell us.Dalton Bluebird wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 11:43 pm If the club is going down the pan we have a right to know Mr Casson.
If we are all wrong and everything's grea then he should also tell us.

Re: Casson
I do think a lot of uncertainty has stemmed from the mystery of why our manager would resign out of the blue and take a job at a smaller club fighting off relegation the last couple of years. I also believe that he was no angel and that behind the scenes politics led to this.
PC may have underestimated the costs of running the club OR he might have just got [SwearFilter] off at the way Cox threw his cash about.
The next move is critical for us, when we finally appoint a new manager in we either need to make a statement of intent by backing him (financially and vocally) or PC needs to hold his hands up and admit that the budget is being scaled back.
The fact that work on the ground is still happening; slowly but happening nonetheless, tells me that PC is serious about moving Barrow AFC forward. I really want to believe that the budget has gone up 30% or whatever it was and that it was down to Paul Cox poor use of that for the reason as to why things seem to be going backwards.
Stop making claims that we want promotion etc if you aren't prepared to fund it to the point required. Stop putting unnecessary pressure on staff/players to get results with aforementioned statements and get some people with the knowhow of the business side of football on board to bring some fresh ideas in developing the club more.
The fact that this thread is on here and being debated by us does suggest that we need an honest assessment from Paul Casson so we know where we stand. We have had typically low expectations in the past and been over the moon with sides achieving much less than last season's squad managed. The overhype is raising expectations to an unrealistic level that can't happen if it isn't funded.
Finally, get a proper manager appointed (Not Moore and preferably before the Torquay game) and let him run the playing side of things. PC has had it good since he took control; that support/confidence is dwindling by the day so now he needs to step up.

Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Re: Casson
Exactly, all the rumours do nobody any favours. Talking to a few at tonight's game, normally positive fans are starting to get worried regarding the size of the squad, what's happening on the manager front and the rumours of the latest departures from the club. It's all very worrying from my perspective and I've been accused in the past of being a 'happy clapper'boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 11:47 pmI don't think it's going down the pan, we are in the best position potentially in my lifetime, but if things aren't as easy as the owner though then he should tell us.Dalton Bluebird wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 11:43 pm If the club is going down the pan we have a right to know Mr Casson.

Re: Casson
looking at the gate numbers why would he pump more cash into the team. Town can't be arsed to back it up which is a pity. So let's look at the whole picture and maybe things might make more sense
