Strange how AP still not brought anyone in to be his assistant. He may be giving holty a chance to save casson a few quid

Yes. Most teams do. He has gone on record since his appointment saying he is planning on bringing an assistant in.

But if right person isn't available then no point bringing someone in for sake of it.

Also noticed that a former member of this forum makes a good point on twitter about the head of football operations role - seems that the club makes things up as they go along. No plan.
Current squad has x2 non contract players. X4 loan players, no assistant manager. We have moved 3 players off the wage bill and received a fee for Harvey. Thats got to be a few grand a week plus 10k. - lets see if the cassons back AP in jan. From reading todays newspaper im not convinced. If anything i can see us letting players leave and reducing wage bill further. Proof will be in jan - but AC talking about more lower division players does not fill me with confidence. Need 3 or 4 top players who are proven at this level. Sorry but AC needs to go - doesnt have a clue. Bring someone in who can lead people, knows about the game and doesnt make things up as they go along.

The owner has already put a lot of money in just look at the accounts and some people criticise that because we are not self sustaining.

LOOK AT THE ATTENDANCES. If we look at living within our means that won't even fund the team never mind everything else some people want.

We are getting much more than attendances deserve. If the Barrow public want a team then I'd expect at least 1500 to attend a game even with the current modest facilities but it's just not happening.

I really can't see Paul Casson continuing to pump money in if crowds don't improve.

Is this not part paradox? I was a bank manager for 35 years and I can tell you Davep. The sooner the money is spent on investing for the future then the sooner you can reap the rewards.

Very easy to say (and I agree FWIW) But actually getting more people to attend is the difficult part

I can see you were a bank manager and not a businessman there's a paradox for you.

A businessman will set himself a budget to spend and if the business is constantly exceeding that especially if he feels it is not being supported then he is likely to up sticks and go. If he invests for the future only in the infrastructure and marketing and not on the team he won't need to sell up the whole thing will collapse. The fact that the attendances are clearly less than he expected then his budget is strained beyond what he probably expected and it has all had to go on the team. that's business not banking

Davep. I understand your point. A football business is rather different to owning a local coffee shop however. Football clubs won't get loans from banks which I think is what Mr Paul Casson thought he could do, hence the lack of redev. Every businessman needs a bank.

I believe the lack of spending since Late summer is down to something that happened in late summer.
