That's the number of tickets to be given free to schools for Solihull game. Fantastic gesture. I started watching Barrow because of a similar free ticket given to me many moons ago. Just need the pies sorting and a nice coffee stout.

Fantastic this, hope we have enough staff in the bar, shop etc etc so any new match goers have a good experience

I mentioned to the owner of Delish a while back how I wish we had some decent pies or any food for that matter. He said someone from the club had made enquiries years ago but he never heard anything back. This time of year there should also be 1 real ale stout. Just buy in a 4.5 gallon 'pin' so no waste, maybe even an urn of mulled wine. Doesn't cost much to do that. All part of that match day experience.

Ive noticed the last couple of times that I have taken my grandson into the hospitality areas the standards have slipped.
There is seemingly less and less fans in there each week and the food provided is very poor for the money paid. We were going to book in for the Wrexham game but weve decided to go elsewhere for our pre-match-meal instead

That's a big shame. I know we all go primarily for the football. Catering won't add 100s to the gate..giving tickets away/cut price is a good method for that, but it's these sutle additions that add up. I'm not against self caterers..but the quality has to be right.

You would think with us having both Greens and McLeys in the town that we would be fighting over them to provide their lovely pastry products to fans!
Sadly the talk of the room when we last visited was on how bad the food had been.
also the price has now risen to 54 pounds! and you are lucky to get the sandwiches you want at the end unless you are sat on the table nearest them. My friend doesn’t take his youngest grandson anymore. 30 pounds last time and he didn’t eat the food and only had one j2o!

I'm not sure what it costs right now for VIP but sadly it doesn't seem to have worked recently. It's not quantity it's quality for me. E.g 2 pints of a decent coffee stout would be cheaper than say the few cans of larger yack that was being offered. Eebria sell to trade only and you can get some great variety, plus the cross bar is free house and could do this. So choose a new one each time so drinkers don't get bored of the same beers. So VIP wise £30 for ticket, quality pie and peas or say a nice portion of shepherds pie with options of similar value to those with other dietary requirements. Plus 2 cans or 2 pints would surely still be profitable for the club. Fell brewery in Grange. I hope whoever takes on this role will consider this. There needs to be a middle ground somewhere, the last VIP prices were just not value for money. Keep it simple but effective.

Fell brewery, unsworth, stringers are 3 local companies who product great variety and stringers do gluten free beers which prove popular with not just gluten intolerance issues. As we know that's way out. Cost price is around pie and peas or similarly portioned food at top whack from a decent caterer cost around £2 so sell £4 ish. And I know the cost price of a decent ale is between £1 and £1.50. so let's say £3.20 a pint. With the £15 ticket and say 2 pints that's £25.40. So £30 about right when considering staff and facility cost per person. Might not be making big money on food and drink initially but eventually I can see a bigger uptake. Biggest profit from that £30 comes from the sale of the ticket, which is what it's all about. I know this has been talking about to death but wanted to put my slant on things.

£54 is expensive. No wonder it is not well attended. Does this mean the quality as lowered yet the price increased?
My nephew treated his dad and myself to hospitality at his local team burton Albion last season and it was £55 per head - we had a 3 course sit down meal and must have gone through 3 bottles of wine. And that was watching a championship fixture vs fulham. Unless this food barrow are now serving up is cooked and hand delivered by gordon ramsey they really are taking the micky.

Take a look at the official website; the hospitality package prices have been reduced. The club are listening.
