Some nice positive comments there and that's before it's revealed who the player is. Let's hope he is a great signing.

starting to feel cautiously optimistic.
The test will be can we sign some decent defenders ie proper full backs and a couple of centre halves. Would love Evatt to be a couple of years younger and still a player.

When John Rooney has previously played against us he looked a good player, played the ball around well and got stuck in with tackles. A couple of years ago our little group on the terraces all rated him . . good signing , best of luck John at Barrow AFC.

Remember him playing Holker Street either for Chester or Wrexham didn’t stand out for me and coming from basement club guisely now doesn’t set the pulse racing.Hopefully new manager brings best out of him and the other new lads to give us anticipation of better season.
