Obviously not, as non of them have played major league soccer to my knowledge.

Might get Henri Saivet as well if you're lucky, being a supporter of both teams sad that I can't be there but hope it's a good game and attracts a decent crowd

"Grant Holt among the players who could feature".
Hmmm. Do Newcastle know something that we don't?

We've been linked with that Ivan Toney fella. He looked a handful when I watched him in last season's play offs for Scunthorpe.

Ivan Toney is an absolute donkey. Terrible player who spends most of his time offside as seen at Wigan. Scunny fans said he was the same there too last season.
EDIT: Imagine my shock he has just scored.

So, 2-3 final score - sounds like a good match. Any reports from those who were there?

First friendly for me and enjoyed the game played at a high tempo. Rooney stood out for me first half and the No7 second half. Didn’t have a clue who any of them were but can see how he wants us to play and we created a lot of chances. Evatt very vocal on the touchline. He won’t take any nonsense that’s for sure. Promising.

The first half triallist keeper Luke, has featured for York of late, apparently did well on Saturday. I thought he could of been a bit sharper and more decisive for the first goal, made a decent save tipping over after that though. Dan, former Torquay was his replacement second half couldn't do much about either goal.
All in all another good work out though, first half we looked comfortable enough and stretched Newcastle at times. Second half from what I saw they stretched us more and looked pacier and one or two of our lads were given the run around.
John Rooney continues to impress as Does Josh Granite. Granite was beating himself up a bit about the first goal conceded, whilst in the bar after the game and that I like. May of only been a friendly but it clearly mattered. So maybe I was bit harsh on our first half keeper.

Cheers for the report Mark.
There's nowt wrong with players showing some passion and hurting when things don't go to plan. Bring on the National League season.
