Fylde Approach for IE

Post by DaveC »

I see the club have rejected an approach from Fylde for Ian Evatt, he has no intention of leaving us.

That job is nowhere near as attractive as it would have been even a year ago

Just embarrassing

Evatt will of course leave us at some point, but it won't be for Fylde

Why would he go to Fylde or any other club in the National League and throw away 15 months hard work when we could be on the verge of something special.
We all know eventually he will go to manage another club but IMO it would be league one or a big ambitious club in league 2. Im sure when that time comes and i hope its a while off yet he will go with both the club and supporters blessing

Article is now on the Nwemail site, extract below:-

“The numbers coming through the turnstiles has massively encouraged the Club as a whole, so let’s now turn our attention to The FA Cup on Saturday and support our manager and his team.”

Another reason to dislike Fylde. Tinpot, Mickey Mouse, Johnny-come-lately club with ideas above their station! ;)

Fylde are a sinking ship. Plastic club with no history. People losing interest in them fast.
Hopefully Evatt will want to finish the good work he’s achieved at Barrow before he eventually moves on to a bigger club. Fylde aren’t a bigger club then the Bluebirds.

Why would they think he would go to them everything is in place for him at Barrow great momentum going. I expect IE to go to the Flyde coast at somepoint to Blackpool but hopefully not till his contract is up with us and we are also a league club!

There's a manager of a team not too far away from Barrow but this side of Ulverston and a former forum member who would be ecstatic to take control of his beloved club. I hope he applies for the job. A dream come true for him.

He can make history at Barrow, we all know that if Barrow ever had a real sniff of success the support would be there

I hope when he moves on he will have achieved things with Barrow first
