Golden Opportunity!

Post by McMark » Mon Aug 23, 2021 3:41 am

Tuesday offers our club Barrow AFC another golden opportunity to impress on the local people and those beyond what a sporting treasure and asset they have on their doorstep.
I hope we manage to showcase what we have at our football club to it’s best. I would urge anyone that has any free time on Tuesday and that can help out in any way to contact the club and the trust. There is only a small core of helpers and indeed day to day employees at the club. I am sure that they will be stretched to the limits the usual stuff like bars and catering, shops and stewarding to selling programmes the list goes on, I’m sure any offer of help will be greatly appreciated and who knows you may enjoy the experience all the more!
Let’s seize on this golden opportunity and make sure everyone really enjoys the Aston Villa game experience and wanting to return, that doesn’t always involve what supporters see on the pitch although it helps a great deal. Time to grow our fan base and increase the clubs footfall beyond Tuesday by quite a few more hopefully 🙏 :scarf: :scarf:

Any help needed today?
I will be litter picking on Wednesday if anyone would like to help.
We have a great guy, Peter Forrest, who does it all week in week out but it can't be left to just one person.
Please use the bins provided which would cut down on what we have to pick up too.
Exciting time, let's enjoy.

Presume they will be putting bins out to use then? I’ve had to leave my rubbish every week because there’s nowhere to put it

Or provide bins? I’ve got enough to carry with 2 kids. Surely it’s easier to provide a couple of bins

On the eve of what is our biggest home game in years can we please not bicker about bins, driving up tonight from Burnage and staying local as not risking the dreaded A590 tomorrow afternoon.

5400+ Tickets sold. Source- club.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Brilliant, know a lot of local premier league lovers are going for their first game, hope they get the Barrow bug.

Definitely, hopefully we will see more barrow attire around the town instead of the “big 6” teams.
