We have £250, 000 from the sale of Quigley, and the Villa game,that we haven’t budgeted for. Buy a bloody striker, or we are going to endure a season like last season. It’s so bloody obvious, to everyone.

for a start Zanzala is a better all round forward than Quigley. Quigley did well for us - but couldn't head the ball goalwards from more than a yard out. Zanzala looks a real threat in the air.
Sea looks like he's bulked up a bit over the summer and now looks a bigger threat than Calvin Andrew was - again he helped us stay up - but his game was just about flick on's for others.
Josh Gordon is a mile better as a 2nd striker than Luke James - both run themselves into the ground for the team etc, but Gordon is a far bigger goal threat.
Yes we'd like another option - but the team is much better going forwards than last season already.

We have also been losing 800k a year. Paul and the board have been doing a great job and no doubt have plans to strengthen the team if they consider it necessary

Why is this directed at Paul Hornby? Do you know if Mark Cooper has identified a new striker and been told no we aren’t signing him?

I think, if the gaffer is getting someone, it's an inside forward. Someone who'll score a couple, but also improve the quality of service for Sea, Zanzala, Gordon, etc. I genuinely don't think we'll need another striker. Apparently a signing is inbound.

A passionate and probably heartfelt view. But one typical of your average supporter who has no responsibility for ensure the club continues to float, that the debt continues to be manageable and that all the people in the club continue to have a job.
That’s why we are locked inside this Forum. Best place for us.

Yikes! I've never thought of it like that before; we are in an asylum for Barrow AFC sufferers.
