Re: Holloway (striker)
Heβs on a par with Zanzalla however itβs unfair to pick him out of a squad where thereβs probably about 15 others who are absolute bobbins also.
The whole squad is just utter utter utter garbage

Re: Holloway (striker)
I thought Holloway was as bad as Zanzala a couple of weeks ago. Heβs actually much worse.
Still canβt believe we gave Luke James a new contract.

Re: Holloway (striker)
Hate to say it but contrast us with our friends up North ( prepare for the gloatmeter at RCHQ to go off the scale in a week or two ). In January we loaned three strikers, one about third choice at Burton the other two young lads who classed one man and a dog as a big crowd.Carlisle signed three strikers initially condemned by fans as not fit for purpose. Patrick (couldn' wait to leave first time round) Sho-Silva (non-league journeyman) and Dennis (good striker in the days of black-and-white telly but well past his sell by date). Given good management and the right tactics all three have come good. No more to be said.

Re: Holloway (striker)
I'd rather have zanzala back leading the line, he may well end up with a league two winners medal at the end of the season
Re: Holloway (striker)
Theres no way a loan should be agreed where he turns up on a friday!!!! he should be training with the squad midweek surely

Re: Holloway (striker)
Itβs the fact, heβs our main striker(allegedly) we are almost relying on him to keep us in the football league, and I have no confidence he will score, ever. Heβs had chances but actually looks scared when he gets an opportunity. He never controls the ball and attempts to take on the defender, has he actually had a shot on target? I guess his record of 14 goals in 11 seasons says it all, there are goalkeepers with better stats

Re: Holloway (striker)
Holloway?
What about Gordon, Zanzala and Sea? All utter SHI*E!
Google appearances/goals scored for their previous clubs. I did a few months back and posted on here.
You'll get a shock!
Who in their right mind would have brought any of them here based on their past goal scoring feats
Somebody has to own up.
Be it Mark Cooper, Ogden (if he's still responsible for scouting/recruitment) or the BOD?
The reason we're going down is because of the aforementioned so called strikers!
Why, oh why, didn't we sign a striker from the leagues below? A player with a track record of scoring goals and given him a chance to prove himself?
Surely that would have made more sense?

Re: Holloway (striker)
I don't want Quigley back (he shat on us, as did Rooney) but we haven't had anyone worthy of the term 'striker' since he left...and he was the only one we had when he was here! Comparing Zanzala to Holloway is like comparing the Clap with Chlamidia. James and Gordon are busy lads but can't shoot for toffee. Sea is, well...I don't know what. Non-existant mostly. If we stay up or we go down (we are going down) then all of the foreward line need dumping. Williams, Harris and Wakeling? who the hell knows?? They will forever be a mystery.
I'd keep Kay for the half a game at a time he gives us.
One thing I would do is make the entire squad stand the other side of the touchline and tell them to take a step forward if they want to play for Barrow...and then to explain why. If they don't want to then we are on a hiding to nothing. START with people who want to play and then develop from there. I am SO [SwearFilter] OFF with this team right now.

Quigley or Rooney did not shat on us, they moved on to better paid work elsewhere.Bigfathoss wrote: βSun Apr 10, 2022 2:13 pm I don't want Quigley back (he shat on us, as did Rooney) but we haven't had anyone worthy of the term 'striker' since he left...and he was the only one we had when he was here! We will disagree on whether or not they shat on us.32mile_cul-de-sac wrote: βSun Apr 10, 2022 2:42 pm

They wouldn't get that anywhere else.
