I'd still support us but I'd probably just go enjoy games and the days out and not get too stressed about the results. What would be the point of anything else

Despite all the doom and gloom on this site at the moment, which is understandable, I still think we will be safe.

I cant even think about it.

This season- one for stability and planting the seeds for the future, academy, ground development etc, has been a total disaster and now sounds like the fight has gone from many of the fans as well?? More and more snippets mentioning our comfortable old friend “non league”. Sounds like many at the acceptance stage now?

Its 6 games left that will shape the direction of this club for the next decades.

Whatever happens, happens. What I still can't understand is why Barrow have struggled so massively to adapt to the EFL. People on match threads keep saying how many bad teams there are in this league, no better than the National League. If so, why can't Barrow beat any of them, or even score more than the odd goal. Look at Sutton, taken to the EFL without breaking stride - nearly won a final at Wembley against an excellent Rotherham side. Harrogate are a solid mid-table team. It's only Barrow who seem to have made such heavy weather of it. Why?

I still think if we'd won the league after the full 44 games, come up with Evatt still as manager, that momentum and familiarity could have seen us pushing for play-offs. Instead the manager left, the captain left and we ended up appointing a complete novice. It kinda set a tone from which we've never really recovered. The board have made some poor decisions on managers but even they would surely have been entitled to expect the players on the pitch to have done more, like maybe win the odd home game.

Is it just never going to work for Barrow in the EFL? Will training in Bury, Macclesfield or wherever always mean a disconnect between the players and the town? Ideally the players need to be in and around the club every day. Training close by. Enjoying playing at home - even if it is windy. The current set-up just has the feel of veterans and mercenaries looking for a wage before moving on somewhere else - something they'll likely be doing soon.

Yes putting up with my smirking Altrincham "friends". Its not about luck we deserve to be where we are at the moment but divine intervention would be useful now.

Unfortunately, it has now got to the stage where to 'be safe' actually means scoring goals !. Can you honestly see that?.

Well if nothing else, the bookies still have oldham as favourites to go down, we are still virtually 2/1 to go down, let's hope they know something we dont
