Released by Wrexham. Ex Morecambe utility wingback. Meets our current brief. Think would be an instant upgrade on newby for me.

I don’t think we have the budget to bring anyone else in mate.

Why would we want Wrexham's cast offs?

No thanks only 6 games up to date 4 EFL Trophy games and 2 EFL games 1 start, nothing wrong with Newby who has just extended his contract, we have a decent squad don`t need other clubs cast offs.

Are you for real, Newby has been excellent this season. Pathetic!

I respect your right to disagree with a post, but why the insult?

Pete obviously had a plan at the start, not just Pete, the whole gang.. we are in a great position, it was stated that we were not looking at this window to tinker... Ok, we did a little and the one we brought in MIGHT be the missing bit of the jigsaw but we have a solid bunch, a togetherness so to speak.. if there was a time to get down and get behind the club, now is that time!
We can and will be up there come may, this group for once in a long time are fighting for our precious badge and it's refreshing to see!
They had a plan pre season and om glad they are sticking to that plan.. so let's just trust pw, the club and players and get Right behind em and help push us over that finish line!
Exciting times to be a Barrow fan and yeh, we have had a so called blip but jeez, we are where we are cos of a togetherness, a sense of real bond.. we can achieve what many thought we couldn't.. and it's only with belief and togetherness that we can have this final push and so long as we all stick together, there is no reason why we can't upset the apple cart and prove a lot of folk wrong!
Little ol barrow? Only if you allow that mentality to exist.. we are a town built on iron , a town built of excellence, skill and knowledge! So let's take our humble place that we all love, believe and damm well help our boys take our mighty club to places we can only dream!
Together we are unstoppable!

Mcalinden, despite only aged 30 is one of those whose reputation has always been greater than the sum of his performances.
Really made name at Halifax 4-5 years ago when he resurrected a promising youth career. However in 100 games for Wrexham and Crewe has only managed 3 goals.
PW would probably have managed him so would have a good knowledge of him and would have been able to make the case for him before now if he wanted to.
Absolutely no better than what we’ve got.

Think Newby causes chaos when he runs at the opposition.

We are well versed for left wing backs/wingers.
Beside Elliott Newby, we have Mazeed Ogungbo, Junior Tiensia and even Sean Etaluku if needed and have all performed decently when played.
Similarly on the right, we have David Worrall, Luke Stephenson and Tyrell Warren.

Best of it is, McAlinden is a bog average forward - rendering this whole thread utterly pointless.
