A team with one loss in six at home to Wrexham yesterday wont be a push over, teams needing points to avoid relegation get points against all odds as we know only to well being Barrow fans. They will probably come for a point so another afternoon of Barrow trying to break a team down I would expect. But nevertheless a game Barrow should be looking to win regardless of opposing teams tactics. Hope the Furness public come out and see such a committed squad of players and a proper football match. Hoping for 4,000 plus.

Think a small number will go up to the Whitehaven vs Barrow rugby match at a guess but still hoping for a good turn out and being Easter weekend I'd hope Grimsby bring a few. Will be a tough match but they all are now so its just about getting points now and if teams around us don't then even better. Like previously mentioned they have 1 loss in 7 ? We have no loss in last 5 with 4 clean sheets so hopefully we carry on our recent form and any team going on a good run now until end of the season is in for a real chance of promotion.

Getting a slating off their fans for their abject display yesterday ending the unbeaten run with a 'whimper'. The goalkeeper for one should have saved two of Wrexhams' goals. Apparently their talisman striker Danny Rose missed the game through injury and there is speculation it is worse than expected. Hopefully the end to an unbeaten run will have the consequences ours did (three defeats on the bounce) but as always the ball is in our court and the squad must surely have the bit between their teeth now.

Grimsby usually travel well so id be expecting 400/500 plus

A team with something to play suits us better than a Harrogate style side who are happy to consolidate themselves with a point.

I think Grimsby will bring 8/900, they have excellent away support, with a number of idiots.There has to be well over 4,000 there.

Grimsby been allocated 520 more will be allocated if needed but Grimsby fans are aware of the train problems so will stop a fare few from travelling, our fans facing the same for Morecambe game.

Agree Skip. I also reviewed their website and the consensus was that they capitulated without much of a fight yesterday. Many of their forum contributors seem remarkably relaxed about their position atm and that's probably a mistake. Grimsby are currently in that horrible space that we were so familiar with in our first two seasons. 6 points ahead of the drop with a game in hand. Your head is telling you that statistically you should stay up, your emotions say something different with every point that the gap reduces.

Grimsby are not yet in the the full Corporal Jones "Don't Panic!, Don't Panic!" position. When you get to that point adrenalin starts to play a part in performances and as FGR and Sutton have shown, then that can change the outcome of some games. So the problem for Grimsby will be deciding whether to "stick or twist" - go on the attack for a win or park the bus for a draw. In this respect two factors might play a part. Firstly their most influential player Danny Rose (12 goals from thirty + starts this season) missed the Wrexham game through injury and its unclear whether he will feature on Friday. Secondly, the Grimsby defence is not the greatest (a fact attested to by many of their own supporters) and I'm not sure would be able to park the bus for 90 minutes in the same way that for example Harrogate managed.

Unlike when we played FGR (and Cotterill is a master in the art of slowing down and preventing opposition teams playing) we are now playing with consistency and confidence again and I dont think we need to change anything about the way we approach this game. PW will be able to look at Grimsby and should be able to put together a 16/17 squad that he thinks should do the job. I know it sounds a bit odd, but I think relatively speaking the pressure will be more on Grimsby. Not that I believe any victory is guaranteed of course.

They fetched 462 last season for a midweek Tuesday night game in October so id expect similar if. not a few more trains or no trains as it will be.

One of two teams who can actually do the double over us this season, albeit we played them off the park at their place and how we lost that game is still a mystery to me.

On sale till Thursday afternoon and they’ve sold 340 as of now

Cracking away support for a team with no interest in the play-offs and 6 points clear of relegation with games in hand. Respect. Can't see 'em coming away with anything, however.
