Katia Kouyate

Post by BAFC1901 » Tue Mar 18, 2025 10:44 pm

Anyone know why we haven’t seen much of him since earlier in the season Injured ? Out of favour ?

Always thought he looked half decent when he played maybe at times still very raw but definetly potential to do well for us in the future.

Believe he is also on a 3 year deal maybe see more of him in the coming seasons.

I always thought he looked half decent too, not scared to try and take on his man even if he is still a bit young a raw

He has come straight from results-dont-matter glorified training session Academy football into the hurly-burly of the mens game. He will surely improve in time. I doubt he was expected to be in the match squad right away but thats how things turned out. Is it any wonder local lads can't wait join Academies elsewhere.. Show some patience.

Does anyone know how John Shamalo has been getting on at Eastleigh?

Usually on the subs bench. 11 appearances, 1 goal (on his debut).
Don't let the old man in.

That's easy no appearances yet for Eastleigh but some for Eastbourne.

Eastbourne are challenging for promotion and were in a strongg play-off place when he joined them so there was no way he was going to walk straight into the starting eleven. That challenge has been maintained (3rd at the moment) but he is usually on the bench and makes a cameo appearance most games. Would hope he would go on loan at least for six months with a Northern NL club (Morecambe ?) next season.

Any news on Issac Fletcher and Wyll Stanway? They are the two I’d be hoping would get a run of games now with an eye on next season

Seem to remember a popular member on this forum (who keeps getting banned) was getting quite a lot of stick for suggesting kouyate would be useless and be getting shipped off out on loan 😂
