Barrow AFC.net

Walsall in danger of falling out of the automatic places for the first time since September, so will either be right up for this fixture or follow on their form of 9 games without a win. Barrow on the other hand are mathematically safe of relegation but do have an obligation to give their best for the other sides around Walsall in the table. Don't think Whing will let any slacking occur as players wanting a contract for next season you would think would want to give their all. An exciting game looks on the cards.

Really looking forward to this game. The weather is on the up, the pitch will be improving, we are looking to finish in the top half of the table, Walsall in a really poor run and they wont fancy coming here at all. Should be a decent turn out for this one.

Walsall were given the full allocation of 900 away tickets for this one. Given our current form and if the weather stays kind we will hopefully get a crowd touching 4000
Andy Whing and Walsall boss Matt Sadler are good friends. Whing said in his after match interview yesterday that he was seeing him on Saturday nigh as they were both attending a Birthday celebration of a good friend.

They were bang average when they beat us at Walsall earlier in the year when they were in form, reading their forum in seems like a total meltdown. Good time to play them hopefully

They will be edgy & terrified of making mistakes & their bad run continuing so they are under enormous pressure while we’re not, Interesting game awaits.

If you read the Up the Saddlers forum after yesterday, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Walsall were as likely to beat Barrow next week as they would be to conquer Real Madrid.

Serious question - if we can sell more to them why not and open up the whole of the Holker Street end, the same for the visit of Tranmere, which will, considering their league position, also likely to attract a big away following. The extra money would reduce our losses this season and help towards next season’s hopeful play off push. Surely Barrow supporters wouldn’t mind standing elsewhere for two end of season games if it benefited the club long term.

That had sold 450 of the 900 as of Saturday evening I doubt they will require more than the 900 allocated

No. For multiple reasons. The away capacity is set to what it is because that is what has been granted a certificate for, for turnstiles and Exits, segregation, match day policing, stewarding, toilet facilities, etc. It would just give the club more to work out logistically on match day for a few extra quid with no long term benefit.

Yes it backfired on us. We gave them 1300 they barely sold over half of them. Walsall have 900 I expect that number to be enough for what they require.

I don't know, doable with advance planning and the likelihood of demand exceeding supply, but I doubt it would be required. We are restricted with the way the ground is. There’s one block of toilets and one turnstile for the away end.

Tranmere fans would be very welcome in the home ends on Easter Monday if they can relegate Carlisle…..

But if they relegate Carlisle will they bother to turn up? Dead rubber I suspect.
