Blackpool (A)

I know most people don't have any time for this competition but I think the timing of this game and the opposition are interesting. Blackpool are in the relegation positions in League 1 and apparently playing underwhelmingly. I know normally some players would be rested, and I know we have injuries, but I wonder if it's worth playing the strongest eleven we have available in the hope of a morale boosting victory or at least more opportunity to 'gel'.

Please, please, please give give Kerr Smith a run out and see what he can do. He’s had one short cameo at Harrogate and that was it. Why bring him to the club on loan and not use him. Reminds me of the Wakeling and Popov scenarios. I can’t understand why we bring players in on loan and they don’t get a chance.

Survival in the league is more important than this two bit competition.
We can’t afford any more injuries especially to key players.
Give fringe players a run out.

Just be aware of A590 evening roadworks and diversions if you are planning to go to this from this end…..

National Highways said the stretch of road between the Newby Bridge roundabout and the Ayside interchange of the High & Low Newton Bypass will shut nightly for nearly a month for resurfacing.

The closure will begin on September 11 and continue until October 7. A section of the route will be closed from Brettargh Holt to Newby Bridge between 8pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday.

Be nice to see us experiment with a different formation in a meaningless game

Isn’t the road coming back to barrow open? Not sure if just other side closed or both

Sure we will rotate where possible; might not be too much to rotate with though. Maybe see MJ Williams back for a longer spell off the bench etc?

I'd also add Williams too get some minutes into him and Tyler Walker also.
I'd also use Worrall to give Barkhuizen say a rest.

Could be good game for us this no pressure, no expectation just need to go out and work hard and perform from the first minute. No sitting back and waiting for something to happen.

I’ll be there tonight but only because I’m staying for a couple of nights in Fleetwood. Some of us really know how to live, ha.
