Probably going to Reading to join Liam Richardson He worked with him at Wigan and Rotherham

Came in when we were a bit unsteady on our feet and decimated by injuries. Hopefully that corner has now been well turned. Thank you and good luck for the future Rob

Think it's quite poor from Kelly to be honest. Jumped at the first opportunity after giving it all the blah blah about how glad he was to be back.

Thats harsh imo. He has come in and done a job for us and helped to steady the ship. I don’t begrudge anyone moving on to bigger clubs to better themselves. Alot coachs of such ability would not look twice at Barriow
Both times he came and turned us around.

Gutted, still think he was the signing of the season with his energy and enthusiastic coaching, just hope that has rubbed off and can be put in place permanently by the current staff.

Very sorry to learn of this, though in reality, it felt like a temporary appointment from the outset, albeit an inspired one. The club, the coaching team and most supporters will be grateful for what Rob has been able to bring to the table during his 'second appearance'. Further, it would appear that he did everything that was asked of him. He helped steady the ship when the seas were rocky and he has moved on, leaving us in a much better position than when he arrived. Am sure that AW and CP have been able to learn an awful lot from him. Let's hope that we see the Kelly effect rippling through their decision-making processes and that the squad continues to grow in confidence.

Good luck to RK whose long league experience will surely have been of benefit to our Head Coach and Assistant. His enthusiasm for the job came across again this season in videos and when coaching before games.
Let's not assume too much, though - they managed to steady last season's ship without him when they weren't facing a new squad affected by injuries.

Best of luck to Rob at Reading, his input over the last couple of months will have been extremely valuable. But let's not forget the main contribution to this upturn in form is the return from injury of a number of key players.
