Just 4 days to FA Cup time!

After so much misery and angst over the last few days, should we now move on to look forward to our FA Cup tie at Wigan. What's the craic? can we spring a surprise?

Although the tie seems daunting, with Wigan seeming to be a 'big club', having been in the Premiership not so long ago, the reality is that they are languishing in 17th place in EFL1 with only 5 league wins to their name. It we can go out, free from the fear of needing league points, no pressure, nowt to lose attitude, we can do it. :scarf:

Well said, Jim. Am ready for a good day out, which includes, on the way back, being safe in the knowledge that Barrow is in the third round draw.

Just play with no shackle's on. It’s a cup tie, so go for it!

Our team can win this one provided they have the desire.Well they do or not we will find out on the day.In front of such a big away support I cannot for the life of me think why they will not go for it from the kick off.We must surely have passed the 1500 mark now.If they can,t perform in front of that many the players might as well hang up their boots now.Aside from the football it should be a good day out with so many people going. We will either be drowning our sorrows or celebrating.Hopefully it will be the latter.

I still think of them as a NPL club. :)

So do I.
I remember going to watch us at Springfield Park and Wigan had John Rowlands playing for them who had played for us in the old Division 4.

Certainly winnable..

Quite simply, we have to turn up and give us all something to be happy about!

Pressure is on them, not us, so let's get right in their faces, show some fight and passion and get our sorry arses into the hat for the next round!

Now fewer than fifty tickets are available on the Barrow website.

If he goes into this like a cautious league game we’ll get beat. Just go for it. Its the best chance we have in a one off cup game. Remember we beat Ipswich just going for it.

At least a new excuse could be generated.
"Well, they are a league1 club".
