I see Eastleigh have said their player Temi Eweka suffered multiple facial fractures. Best wishes for a full and rapid recovery. I cannot recall a longer delay to treat an injury (at Holker Street at least) than that one on Saturday. Horrific. Without knowing the precise severity of the fractures, ...

That's a great photo, Nige, of the old Steelworks End . . . and the fact that it's in colour means it has to be a rare item to be preserved by the club. The colours look as though they have bled a bit, giving the appearance that we are wearing yellow shirts but, no, we were definitely wearing our cu...

Also though a big mention to Rob Kelly, might only have been caretaker manager but without him we'd have gone down after that first season back in the EFL and who knows then what would've happened. He took a team with some very limited players, loan players and one lacking in belief to fight and I ...

Hendoblue . . . you are absolutely right to mention Kenny Lowe. We talk about managers who have won things but, in the likes of Peter Kane and Kenny Lowe, these are managers who didn't win anything but did something even more important, they helped keep the club alive, and a team on the pitch, durin...

When I consider this question carefully I find it impossible to see beyond Don McEvoy. There have been a number of "transformational managers" that have taken over when the club has been a shambles and turned things around. Ray Wilkie did it, Daz n' Dave did it, Darren Edmondson did it, Ia...

So, Mark, are you suggesting it was bit Laurel and Hardy to begin with, before a fine mess became an unforgettable miracle?

Fanzone Fan . . . I know there are some on here who would remember the Wolves game from January 1959 but it's up to them whether they want to say anything. *** Ah, I see Jim has written something*** As for me, it was before my time but I have long been jealous of those who had the opportunity to be ...

In the 1924-25 season after defeating Darwin at home in the 4th qualifying round Barrow defeated Wrexham at home in the 5th qualifying round before meeting Gillingham away in the 6th qualifying round the tie ended 0-0 followed by a 1-1 draw at Holker street, the third match was played at Wolves whi...

National League Clubs all came through tonight apart from Gateshead who lost 5-0 at Northern Premier League-West Division Side Stafford Rangers. Tonight again shows that teams in lower leagues will not be rolled other Gloucester losing a man helped us, good to see Allen scoring again. Good barrow c...

Sunday league referee at best.

I hope Pikey's not soft. I just hope he didn't fetch the ref a bag of chips for after the match . . . he didn't even deserve soggy ones.

Towards the end a gasp went up when our keeper was announced as MOTM for us. At first I couldn't understand, but I was able to fathom the reasoning behind that decision once I had endeavoured to work the decision out mathematically and scientifically . . . Our keeper had absolutely nothing to do all...

A great read. Paul Ferris seems to be a remarkable and resourceful lad to have overcome the setbacks and problems he has encountered along life's path.

I've just watched the highlights of yesterday's match on Youtube. No disrespect of course to Adam (his diction and enunciation is fine by me) as mistakes happen on the subtitling, or text, accompanying every film clip online, but, depending on your perspective, we can view these AI-generated sub-tit...

Aside from the very hard-earned last-gasp win, the thing that really lit me up today was a comment made by Adam Murray when asked about his thoughts beforehand on Marriott who was going to be missing the game and he said he was pleased! In fact he managed to sound delighted about one of our stars be...

Big gaps on the popular side tongiht while the team put in a sterling performance and worked their nuts off for a well deserved victory. Adam Murray praises the supporters regularly, and the ones that get off their arses deserve that praise, but he must realise deep down that the attendances are we...
