Re: "Barrow Rule the Third"
Spray Barrovian Bedlam on the police station, that should go down well
Sticks and Stones may break my bones but Daz and Dave excite me

Nice work!
Re: "Barrow Rule the Third"
Monty, you asked about the legendary former England captain Johnny Haynes, who played for Fulham at Holker Street in 1968. I think the name has virtually disappeared now, but here's a photo I took several years ago. You might need to copy it and blow it up to get a better view. Just by the end of the wall at the entrance to ASDA you can make out the name "Haynes". Unfortunately some irresponsible fool has, long afterwards, daubed some further graffiti over it in red. Clearly some people have no reverence when they're messing about thoughtlessly with their spray cans. Whoever put that offensive red paint on should be locked up. Did they not stop to think that this was the name of England's former captain they were defacing? To the right of the picture you can also make out "PNE"; I'm fairly certain this appeared after we played Preston in a League Cup tie at the start of our final season in the League, 1971-72 (I bumped into Don McEvoy the morning after that match and I recall he described it as a "ding-dong battle" - - - - regrettably, we got ding-donged 0-2).

Re: "Barrow Rule the Third"
Just a thought, but shouldn't it be "Barrow Rule League One (formerly known as the Third)"?
After all, some of our younger supporters may not realise the restructurings the Football League has gone through since we opted out of that competition.

I love stuff like this. It stirs up fantastic feelings towards the town of my birth. Ok, it's essentially graffiti, but who cares?! Man, I sometimes miss Barrow too much...
Re: "Barrow Rule the Third"
This graffiti is greater by far than anything Banksy has ever sprayed (only slight sarcasm added).
I wanna take you to an Away Bar

I'm actually a big fan of the 'barrows sickest' railside scrawling. Always makes me chuckle.

Re: "Barrow Rule the Third"
Since the premiership and championship aren't numbered, surely we're currently in the third... sorta?
Close enough for me, anyway

Re: "Barrow Rule the Third"
Those were the days my friend
In the Holker End
We’d sing and shout for Barrow all the day
We’d live the life we choose we’d fight and never lose
Those were the days oh yes those were the days….

We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
Re: "Barrow Rule the Third"
Myself and a few of our crew did this and quite a number of others (also at some away games, Bury springs to mind)! I think there was also one similar on the Newby Terrace Grounds. It was around the time when Fulham fans sprayed "Fulham Boot Boys" around the same place. This would have been around 1970ish? It was known then as Vandalism but has since been re-named "Grafffiti street Art"! Perhaps Banksy might have been arrested in those days!!!!!
