barrowafc.net scorecast in aid to raise funds for projects
Morning everyone
Just typing this to see if anyone would be interested in taking part in a weekly scorecast competition in aid to raise funds for the club?
obviously the excellent start to the fundraising by Rich and Konaldo with the fantastic pledge topic has been brilliant, My idea is to hopefully raise even more to add to it through a weekly scorecast competition. The Scorecast would cost £1 a week, with me posting 10 Matches per week from the weekend with people either posting their predicitons on the topic itself or through pm to me. The £1 will be able to be paid by 3 different means.....
Either handing it to me on match day
via a paypal account which I will setup
or via post to myself (address will follow if interest is there)
From that £ 50p will go to a prize pot for the person with the most points that week
40p will go into the club pot
and 10p will go into a rolling jackpot for the person (persons) with the highest collective score after a 20 week period.
I did this for my sunday league team I ran with a friend last season and we managed to raise a very nice £500 and thats just with players getting friends and family involved. Imagine what we could raise through here?
If interested please post on this topic or through pm to myself if you wish to know more
Many thanks
Adam Johnson

Re: barrowafc.net scorecast in aid to raise funds for projec
I'm in one of these at work but I'll definitely come out of that one to put my money into this. I'll also try & get a few more involved, I can think of four or five straight away.
Paying to you personally would suit me as the amount I could possibly get off others might vary week by week.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I would be up for winning this.
living away it would probably easy for me pay 20 quid via paypal,so im in credit, rather paying a few £ when i see you at away games.

I'd want to do this too and there currently isn't one running in our company. Perhaps there might be one or two others who want to have a go, I will check. Paypal is no good for me either so I would pay you at the match. Do you stand with the rabble?

count me in. I can either send a cheque or give you money either at Tamworth (if you are able to make it) or the Newport game at home. Just let me know the amount beforehand - thanks.

good stuff,
Either way is fine by me Angela
as i say if interest picks up (which hopefully it will) then I will add my Address to a new topic for Cheques, money etc if people prefer that method of payment.

I'll play too. All these little fund raising ideas are really great. From small acorns and all that.

I'm in - if it's ok, a one off payment for the season would be good for me.
