Correction to New Commercial Manager post

Post by bafcdirect » Tue Oct 02, 2012 4:40 pm

I would just like to correct a number of issues stated in the original aricle of this topic. I have replied on this topic but have opened a new one as hundreds of previous readers have read it and may have accepted the comments as facts.

1. To be very very honest Miller Waite have always put on whatever the club have asked. I know of no incident where they have refused or failed to fulfil any request sent by the club.

2. The club have NOT appointed a new Commercial Manager. At the fans meeting to which the poster attended it was explained that the club were employing someone to go out to firms to seek sponsorship on a commission basis only.

3. As previous posters have clearly clarified the corporate rooms were not as a result of the actions of the gentleman mention in 2 above.

I will state quite clearly:-

Miller Waite are working hard to help the club help themselves to improve the website. Allegations to the contrary do not help the club in any way.

Oh dear we are now seeing the true John Mackay in writing Temper Temper no need to put this is capital letters, John Little is one of the most likable people I know on the forum and as a person he obvsiously put a post that he thought was genuine and trying to let people know what he thought was happening at the club, If the club was more up front with supporters this would not have happened, we are after all a members club sadly run as a private company.

As an aside when the hell are we going to have the AGM.
News is what other people dont want you to know, the rest is advertising ...........Randolph Hearst

Also now signing off as "Barrow AFC director" We know you love yourself, but give it a rest.Even the odd time TK comes on here, he doesn't feel the need to remind us all of his status. You might get a bit more respect than criticism.

Oh dear, you really don't do yourself any favours at times.

Regardless of whether I agree with the actual points you are making or not, your tone leaves a lot to be desired and it's not the first time.

Have a word someone, please!

Is this John McKay the same guy that's an ex school teacher? The lad from up the coast that has had supported the club for over 40 years?

And now he is making the point he is a director at the football.

Reminds me of that someone who constantly shows off, I'm better than you, the person who refers to their motor as the make, I.e. a bentley rather than a car.

Embarrassing sir.

I do not know the OP from Adam but this all seems a little harsh - from the outside looking in like?

I thought John McKay's statement was an important one to put the facts straight. Perhaps the bit in bold was a bit tactless, but I imagine that he must be thoroughly exasperated by some of the incorrect statements and (often) innuendo about club matters. As he says, these things don't do the club any good. If anything is "poor form", it is the personal abuse he gets in return.
