We are now down to 432 members!! So much for cup fever!!
Still no further response from the club. Simple question. Why is membership apparently going down???

Re: PATHETIC!!
I emailed the club a couple of weeks ago to ask how much we've racked up in fines at HMRC & Companies House for not filing accounts and why have what should be a fairly simple set of accounts not been submitted. There is no excuse whatsoever for no AGM or accounts being submitted. This isn't a huge business just a small football club. Wukkie and others seem to manage to comply yet we can't. I bet BK's business hasn't incurred fines for late accounts!
I can't be bothered rummaging through endless posts on the subject but if someone can briefly summarise the reasons given as to why we've not had an AGm I'd be greatful. Sorry if this is old ground but we are throwing away large sums in fines and this is totally unecessary and unacceptable. Whatever the situation call an AGM as a bod if necessary put up with a couple of hours of moaning etc but get the flaming accounts signed off and submitted!!!
No response. I guess we owe at least £1500 and probably more

Re: PATHETIC!!
Have you proof the club have not submitted accounts, just because we have not had an AGM does not mean the club have not done this, it does however mean they should have done as its now over 2 years since the last one, if you want to jump start an AGM get 10 members to call it and they have to.DaveP wrote:I emailed the club a couple of weeks ago to ask how much we've racked up in fines at HMRC & Companies House for not filing accounts and why have what should be a fairly simple set of accounts not been submitted. Re: PATHETIC!!
Yes mate companies house today shows they were due to be filed by 31/03/12 but are still outstanding. The late filing fines aren't levied until the accounts are submitted but increase every three months. They will currently be £1500 but if this has happened before they can be doubled.
My point is that this should not happen whatever the circumstances and the fault lays totally with the BOD. Be interesting to know whether they will pay the fines personally?
See Webcheck in google search then type in barrow afc all will be revealed.

Re: PATHETIC!!
I got the impression the accounts have been produced but hadn't been submitted to Companies House. I suspect that the club don't want us knowing how much we've lost over the past 2 seasons and want a successful development bid in order to announce that we can pay off whatever debts we have?DaveP wrote:I can't be bothered rummaging through endless posts on the subject but if someone can briefly summarise the reasons given as to why we've not had an AGm I'd be greatful. John Mackay announced there'd be an AGM at the end of August - there wasn't.
Tony Keen announced there'd be an AGM at the end of September - there wasn't.
While we're at it I still haven't received any correspondance about my debentures either, this was meant to be in September - another broken promise!!!
I think the club were awaiting the outcome of the ground development bid before calling an AGM but that doesn't stop them filing accounts with Companies House. The club are an absolute joke off the field with this and many other things and the board members don't seem to even care they are pi$$ing off the fans so much by their lack of care or attention to many of the things mentioned in this topic.
Re: PATHETIC!!
Just a hunch and I am ready to be shot down about it, but regarding the debentures, it is my opinion that many fans who had every intention of letting the club keep the money they invested will now, because of the lack of communication and general ineptness of the club, ask for their money back. How are the club going to pay it?
I am sick to the back teeth of the line "waiting to hear about the development bid". I have said for ages that I personally don't think it will ever happen, but the club cannot keep using this as excuses not to have AGM's and not to file accounts etc. They have to keep the club running as though this was never in the pipeline and unfortunately I don't think they are.

Re: PATHETIC!!
The development really is meant to happen, its just when it will be announced and whether its us or the Council who've won it? Agree about the running of the club in the meantime though.tictactoe wrote:I am sick to the back teeth of the line "waiting to hear about the development bid".
