I must be a crap fan cos the day I clap that showing off a football field is the day I give up going!!! Utter utter shambles we were nothing short of a disgrace tonight!!!! Bittner never had a save to make n spent all night talking to fans!!!!!
We clapped (or I did) because even though it was a poor performance, it shows we are still behind the team.

We kept hold of the ball well until we got to the edge of the box and needlessly gave it away, or fired a shot into Walney Channel. The frequency of this increased as the game wore on. It was a horrible time to concede the goal, as in the first half we looked the better team, although wasting it when we got to their penalty area, the story of our game. Hereford were always a yard quicker than us, closed us down and forced mistakes. A game to forget and bottom of the table as it stands.

Good result on Tuesday is needed to restore some long lost optimism and hopefully kickstart our season, albeit 21 games in.

Fair answer mate I clap after I feel the team has put 100% in and given everything they can for the shirt, I definelty didn't feel the need to clap for one single player tonight. Harsh maybe but that performance(and on TV to show the country) was shite!!!

Our decision making at times is beyond belief. We move the ball far too slowly, everyone wants a 2nd touch before looking to pass, and by then the only option is a backwards ball giving the opposition time to shut us down. We've been the same for the last couple of seasons, and whilst I appreciate we're trying to keep the ball better, we seem to pass for passing sake. We looked like the midfield were getting in each others way tonight, one of the worst performances I've seen from us this year.

Even the effort looked to be dwindling in a few tonight, and that is worrying!

They were by no means much better than us tonight, they just had that bit more confidence that is so apprantly missing from our performances. Bayliss needs to get us moving again somehow, whether by cuddling them or kicking them, but he needs that response off the players. We seem to have no leaders on the park at the minute, seriously need to turn this around and quickly.

Absolutely [SwearFilter] shite. We were dire.

1. Baker - can someone else not take the corners/free kicks, he hardly ever beats the first man.
2. Hessey - If, like some people say on here, he is an outstanding centre half, why the [SwearFilter] is he playing at full back. The mind boggles. I like Skelts, and yes I admit he didn't have the best start to the season, but I am confident that he is a better full back than Hessey. Get Hessey into the middle where he supposedly belongs.
3. Boyes - Great player, no-one can say otherwise, but for [SwearFilter] sake, he is a centre forward, but most of the time he is in every other position but. If by any miracle we do manage to get the ball in the box, he is still out near the wing. Stay in the middle of the park and score goals, he shouldn't have to do everybody elses work. Some [SwearFilter] behind me tonight was saying he gets no service, but half the time he is the one trying to conjure up something so he's not going to be there to receive any service.

I am really starting to think that we are heading for the Blue Square North. I don't give two shits how well Bayliss has done in the past, it is now that matters and at the moment, budget or no budget, we are abysmal.

The attendance tonight was also worrying. The budget isn't going to improve any getting gates like that.

EDIT - Very impressed with their number 4 and 22 (until he started the amateur dramatics)

Normally accept we had bad luck but today was our worst performance for some time.Poor Kens 100th celebration i will never forget for the wrong reasons. Just hope we can produce on tuesday or i can see this team playing next year at a lowel level. Never felt like this before but really dont like where we are going. How many shots on goal did we have? AT HOME. I will be there as usual but cos i do and i will always do but i am worried.Bayliss help me and the rest of the "proper fans" and sort something out. See you Tuesday-make me happy again.

Very poor tonight. Looked a decent first half, mostly keep ball in midfield with Hereford camped around their area. Poor marking let their player ghost in at the far post to put them in front. Almonds shocking cross field ball straight to their defender as he moved up lead to the breakaway and their 2nd.

I thought Pell was outstanding for the visitors long legs let him move the ball past players and he outpaced just about anyone. Hunter got man of the match for Barrow, not sure why, he also got himself booked and probably suspended for the Macc game. Who would you choose as Barrows man of the match from tonight? :? Best give it to Skelton on the bench he could have stopped that first goal ;).

Hereford took the lead against the run of play and had threatened little up until the goal. Hereford also demonstrated how to counter attack, something we used to be good at but seem to have forgotten. Barrow's idea tonight was to wait and wait and play the ball around in midfield a bit or up and back down the line while Hereford got back with 2 banks of 4, then try to attack. Terrible, they were clueless. Tip: When on the break with the ball at your feet try going towards the opposition goal while they have fewer players in the way, that actually works sometimes.

We are fast approaching the halfway point of the season and they need to start scoring. It will only take a couple of good results and we will be out of the drop zone and things look very different, but... we can't get good results at the moment. :(

No Pride, No Passion, No Agression.

After the match someone remarked to Ken how poor we were, his comment was.'The trouble is, we are not much better, when we are good' Ah, the wisdom of age, sadly.

That was a miserable enough viewing experience in my centrally-heated front room with a constant supply of beer and a clean flushing toilet nearby so I dread to think what it was like for those who endured it without such luxuries on the terraces.

I said the first time I saw us this season (at Woking) that this looked like the worst side we've had since Wilson finished dismantling Turnbull's deadwood and nothing I've seen since (including wins at Ebbsfleet and Braintree) has changed my mind.

I still back Bayles though (despite his deluded post-match interview - "created the better chances"...I missed that bit, must have been while I was using my flushing toilet). We've been due for relegation since the playoff win at Burton, and it's a massive achievement to have kept us up as long as he has. And I think he's as good a bet as anyone to get us back up if we do go down.

As a club though we've utterly failed to build on the relative on-field stability of 5 years in the BSBP to create the off-the-field base from which to make the next step to being promotion challengers. And that's the real reason why the threat of relegation will, I fear, eventually catch up with us in April...

That's what we're trying to do now.

We should just get on the front foot more and go for the jugular.

Our best spells this year have been when we've had nothing left to lose and we've just thrown the kitchen sink at teams. We can't defend, we can't keep it tight so instead of focusing on trying to shore things up, we should just be going out trying to score more than our opponents.

If nothing else, it would be more entertaining than that sterile performance tonight.

We are where we are because quite simply we can't score goals. Not one save made by the Hereford in 90 minutes of football. NOT ONE. We've dominated the game in large parts yet created nothing. They sit mid table- we are rock bottom. To not manage to get one decent shot on goal at home is not good enough.

Their keeper won't even have to wash his kit tonight as there's no mud on it. We didn't force one save out of him.

and that is why we are bottom of the league.

We do not have the kind of instinctive players who can score from nothing. There's never any stuffy goals off someone's arse because we don't have a speculative shot and we certainly don't get the ball into the box nearly enough. At times Rutherford was playing so close to Flynn there was no one in an advanced position to lay it onto. Movement into space off the ball is poor.

We are not Barcelona but that doesn't mean we can't be more positive and direct in our attack. I really hope we can bring in a couple of attack minded players in January. Player who can make things happen. This and Owen / Skelton / Rowe back in the team can't come quick enough.
