There must be a big doubt about this game being played.
There is a red alert for heavy snow in South Wales.

Postponements always disappointing, but until we get new players in every game that is deferred must be to our advantage.

Their official twitter account reckons they have covered the pitch and are hoping the game will be on.

Isn't there already a thread about this - we could do with a whole section of the site dedicated to the weather

No covers on the pitch tonight when Newport Gwent Dragons played Wasps in a rugby union match.
The Rodney Parade pitch though did not look frozen, so it probably depends how much snow they get in Newport tomorrow.

From the Barrow AFC Official Website

Newport To Assess Conditions at Lunchtime

Newport County AFC will assess their pitch conditions at lunchtime today.

The pitch had snow covers in place following last night's Rugby Union fixture and has a covering of two inches of snow at present.

Barrow have also asked their coach company for the prospects of safe travel.

More news on this website when available.

From the Newport website:-

Rodney Parade have informed us that the pitch is playable underneath the frost covers.

Head of Operations, Mark Jones, has appealed for County supporters to assist in clearing the snow from the pitch.

Supporters are asked to arrive at Rodney Parade from 8.30am with shovels and wheelbarrows.

We thank you in advance for your co-operation.

But if the coach firm can't get the team there safely .....
