Have to admit, my opinion of him has gone up after that.
Admitted that he let the fans and himself down during his last year or so here with his lack of motivation, not training and the condition he'd allowed himself to get into.
He wasn't the only one from that side who allowed that to happen, but perhaps the most extreme. He went from a box to box goalscoring midfielder worth 15-20 goals a season to a player that wasn't even a shadow of his former self. Refreshing to here him admit his mistakes.
Sounded very genuine tonight
