Wembley 1990 Team Reforming to Play?

Post by donny bluebird » Mon Feb 25, 2013 1:59 pm

Well there's a subject I never thought I'd be writing about!

I have it on decent authority that the Wembley 90 team are reforming to play a one-off game :o - has anyone else heard this rumour?
If it's true, some of the best players in my BAFC watching history could be wearing the blue and white once again! :scarf:

Yeah I heard that last night myself. Was all a bit vague but something to do with Kimberley Clark and a memorial to someone. (Told you it was vague)

Wouldn't it be great if they played the team that won the trophy in 2010

I'd pay to watch that but Kennys Gordon and Lowe will need plenty of notice.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

Yeah but the 1990 team could give the 2010 team a couple of goals start.

You're probably right there! The guy was saying that there might be a spot available to play in the side that may be raffled off - I'd love to put an arching 35yard cross onto Cowps forehead!!

Would this be a money raising thing for the club? A great idea that could get a lot of support in if well publicized and priced! I'm sure it would raise more money than the average pre-season friendly.

It sounded as if it was a kind of charity-match but didn't get any specifics I'm afraid.

Class of 1990 v Class of 2010 would get a very decent crowd in I imagine
