Who would stay with us if we went down ?
Hope I'm wrong but really couldn't see any of them stay at all been honest ! One player who I know would of has joined drolsden 'evil'. I really think one way or another we'll be struggling for players to come here next year. Would like to see one or two locals here though who'll play for the badge. There must be hundreds of young hungry footballers who don't make it but could offer us something in the hope of moving on to bigger and better things. Maybe peo would stay and young peo any ideas who'd want to stay is more to the point.

We would probably attract some better part timers than some of the full timers we have at present .
Whatever league we are in next season it will have to be part time anyway.

Lets be honest .
Is there anyone we want to keep?
Boyesey will get snapped up by Chester and I think he would be the only one I'd want.
Alex Ray-Harvey would be worth another season , but I wouldn't go chasing any others.

Re: Who would stay with us if we went down ?
Lot of nonsense talked about players we would attract if were relegated and went part-time. Presumably the same sort of part-time players who took us into the BSP in the first place ! There is a far larger pool of part-time players as there are only a comparitively small number of full-time contracts on offer in NL. Don't forget we lost out over the last couple of years on players like Kissock (later FT), Spencer,Lloyd,Clancy,Seddon and Blinkhorn to name the ones we know about, because they wanted to stay or go part-time. Alty clung on to the most sought after striker in NL despite offers from FL clubs precisely because he wanted to stay PT.DaveP wrote:We would probably attract some better part timers than some of the full timers we have at present .

Well if what you say is true and I don't doubt it for one second, then surly we've missed a trickSKIPPER wrote:Lot of nonsense talked about players we would attract if were relegated and went part-time. Story & Aberdeen??????????????????
Re: Who would stay with us if we went down ?
Does anyone really think our players are going to have stacks of better offers to choose from?? One or two might attract a bit of interest, but the majority won't. We are where we are because most of our players are not good enough for this level, therefore why would anyone else want them??
The question should be which would we want to keep.

Re: Who would stay with us if we went down ?
If we went down (I still think we will) then I think we would have a good few players who would, for once, be playing at the right level. I don't know all of the contractual ins and outs of course so I can only opine on the ones I would LIKE to see stay.
Owen (a MUST for me)
Ruthers (at that level he would be fine)
Peo (as doubtful as that might be)
Little Danny Rowe
Skelts (as cpt, coach and future manager)
Hunter (a BSN player if ever I saw one)
Richie Baker
Build a team around Owen and Baker, bringing in some raw recruits up front and a couple of old geezers at the back.
As for a keeper...Cowps knows but Hurst is clearly regarded by some/most as a reasonable keeper (not by me) so he would surely find a place in the BSP somewhere.
Barrow will rise once again...

If he carries on like he has done for the last month or so he'll fit into half of the team's in the BSP, I've been very impressed with his form & skill considering my doubt's from earlier season showings.Bigfathoss wrote:Little Danny Rowe
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Seriously? Hes been one of our worst players this year. Weve scored the least amount of goals in the league, why would anyone want one of the wingers from that team who have clearly been unable to create chances for strikers.spirit of 1990 wrote:If he carries on like he has done for the last month or so he'll fit into half of the team's in the BSP, I've been very impressed with his form & skill considering my doubt's from earlier season showings.Bigfathoss wrote:Little Danny Rowe
The only players i reckon would maybe get offers would be Baker and Boyes.

Danny M Rowe was the one player the Lincoln fans said they would have off us when we played there.Steeley wrote:Seriously? Hes been one of our worst players this year.
